What kind of "paradise" is Wencheng County, Zhejiang Province?

In Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, there is a county called Wencheng County. It is currently (2019) one of the few places in Wenzhou, the birthplace of local tycoons, that does not have access to trains and highways.

The "secret place" hidden in the primeval forest that we are going to talk about today is located in Wencheng County.

Let’s take a look at the photos first and then introduce this place later. On July 23, 2019, I traveled here with a few travelers who also like to check out niche secrets and explore unpopular destinations. This is also the first time in my life that I have seen such a spectacular sea of ??clouds in the early morning, which is not inferior to Huangshan. If there were no photos to preserve their appearance, I really don’t know how to describe to everyone the excitement I felt when I saw all this. I have never thought that this fairyland-like "paradise" is actually in Zhejiang, so close to us. It is said that the person who developed this mountain forest was a wealthy businessman from Wenzhou, who grew up at the foot of this mountain. After doing business in Hangzhou for several years, he had some money and invested tens of millions of yuan through investment promotion to develop the mountain. ?All the belongings are here, and only a few houses are left in Hangzhou. ?

When he developed this scenic spot, there was no road to enter it. Even for decades from childhood to adulthood, this mountain didn't even have a name. Except for a few forest farm workers who climb into the mountains from time to time to maintain the forest area, no one knows where the road up the mountain is, or whether there is a road. There was no human life on this mountain before 2000.

There is only one way to enter this forest area, which is to drill a tunnel. The tunnel was dug in 2007. It is a very authentic cave with jagged stone walls. It took several kilometers to drive in.

This is the Monkey King Valley Scenic Area in Wencheng County, Zhejiang Province. The reason why I am interested in it is because I heard that in this primitive green forest of more than 1,000 hectares, there live a group of well-trained people who do not ask for food, do not snatch bags, do not take off glasses, and do not tease humans. monkey. It is worth mentioning that the Monkey King Valley scenic spot is connected with Tongling Mountain in the National Forest Park 8km away. It is necessary to post some pictures of Tongling Mountain here. The forest coverage rate of Tongling Mountain is as high as 98.1. It has been developed very early because it has the only 18 consecutive Huxue Waterfalls in China. It is a mature scenic spot. After visiting Tongling Mountain for the second time, I only knew that it was a summer resort, known as "Little Jiuzhaigou", but I didn't know that the place adjacent to it had such beautiful scenery. When we arrived at the Monkey King Valley, it was getting late, leaving only a small portion of the setting sun, and a large area of ??rich sunset glow appeared in the sky. We didn't even have time to put our luggage away, so we took out our phones and took a photo of it in time.

The place where I live is the tree house area in the Monkey King Valley Scenic Area, called Hidden Heart Valley. At the foot of this mountain, it is like a small resort, nestled in a corner of the vast mountains.

The tree houses I lived in before were all houses built on big trees, but this time I lived in a house with big trees growing inside the house.

In order to protect the original trees here, the developers of the scenic spot did not cut down the trees on a large scale, but organically integrated them with human residences.

Before the sun went down, I chased the colorful light and took a few photos of the infinity pool.

At that moment, I almost forgot that this was a primeval forest that had not been visited for hundreds of millions of years.

More than 80% of Wencheng is covered with mountains. In the west of the county, there are still large areas of "no man's land". In those inaccessible places, there are mountains with an average altitude of 1,000 meters, and primitive forests that are hundreds of millions of years old. In the forests, thousands of primitive plants grow, as well as hundreds of protected animals. The macaque is one of them. kind.

I originally came here to see monkeys, but found that this is a very suitable place for vacation. It's like being cut off from the whole world here, with a sense of seclusion. Lying in the house at night, watching the beetle moths chasing the light and fluttering on the screen window, they are all insects that cannot be named. The food in the restaurant is very light, and all the vegetables, fruits, and drinking water are products of this mountain.

The water here flows through Tongling Mountain and is pure natural mineral water.

People who live here will get up early to see the sea of ??clouds, and then go to the Monkey King Valley and pass through a forest.

There is a plank road going down the mountain. The dense forest is so deep that you can't see the sky.

During this period, a small glass viewing platform protruded from the cliff and was slightly hidden among the green trees.

On the way, we met a few monkeys. They are quite friendly to humans. When we took pictures of them with our cameras, their postures were quite cooperative.

We passed through the jade-like lake along the way, and the monkeys were right next to us.

Probably for the convenience of going down the mountain, a bamboo forest slide was built here, which is currently the most exciting amusement facility in this scenic spot.

The monkeys’ gathering area is on a wide platform. A speaker is installed on the scenic platform. Whenever the song "Daughter's Love" from the TV series "Journey to the West" is played from the speaker, the monkeys will Gathered on this platform from all directions.

On this trip, I learned a rule of the animal world: in addition to a monkey king on a monkey mountain, there is also a "second in charge".

When the scenic spot was first developed, there were only 100 monkeys, but within a few years, the number doubled.

There are currently more than 200 monkeys in the Monkey King Valley. In order to prevent them from being like the monkeys in Mount Emei, which have no rules, the scenic spot must have been careful in domesticating and feeding them. They're pretty well behaved. It takes about a day to travel to the entire Monkey King Valley scenic area. If you are lucky, you may be able to see muntjac deer and various unnamed birds on the way. In this area, plus the Tongling Mountain next door The National Forest Park is the best-preserved virgin forest in southern Zhejiang. In fact, the transportation in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai is generally a relatively convenient area, and Wencheng is like a "clean stream".
