Smoke detectors and smoke cameras are basically the same in appearance, but they can be distinguished by some small details:

1, the most obvious difference between a smoke detector and a smoke camera is that the smoke detector has a red indicator light, which normally flashes every 5 seconds, so it is easy to be seen, while the smoke camera does not have this indicator light for concealment, which is also the most obvious and easy to judge;

2. Smoke detectors are generally fully enclosed with only one square sensing window. The smoke camera has several perspective windows, surrounded by black barbed wire, so that the camera can see the area to be monitored, and it is not difficult to distinguish if you look closely;

3. From the wiring point of view, smoke detectors generally have four wires, and all four wires are the same. The connection of the smoke camera is two wires, a power plug and a video output plug, which is also easy to judge.
