Zhangzhou China Merchants Economic and Technological Development Zone has excellent port construction conditions. It has a coastline of 28km, of which the deep-water coastline below-8m13km. It can plan to build 33 berths with a tonnage of over 10,000 tons, which has the conditions for developing into an international transit port.

It has a set of management, service and intermediary institutions such as customs, entry-exit inspection and quarantine, border inspection and other port joint inspection departments, customs broker and ocean shipping agent.

Zhangzhou China Merchants Economic and Technological Development Zone has a three-dimensional transportation network extending in all directions: the airport and the railway are all within 1 hour. The speedboat travels to and from Xiamen to realize public transportation, which is only 15 minutes away from Xiamen. Port-dredging highway in the area connects 324, 3 19 national highway and coastal expressway, running through the north and south of the country. The Xiamen-Zhangzhou cross-sea bridge connecting Zhangzhou Investment Promotion Bureau Economic and Technological Development Zone and Xiamen started construction in 2008.
