Why is the elder of the legend of the night asleep?

Three elders take turns to take power, two are asleep and one is in power.

The three elders are Victor, Marcus and Amelia.

Marcus was the first vampire (bitten by a bat), and then Victor became a vampire to prolong his life, but Victor was strong (ruler of the land) and Marcus could only be enslaved.

Amelia's serenity, delicacy and beauty conceal that she is a ferocious vampire warrior in history. For centuries, she relied on Marcus and Victor to rule Wicca. When one elder ruled, the other two elders were sleeping.

Despite her power and status, Amelia became the victim of kleven's betrayal. Before she woke Marcus to take command, she and the Committee members were ambushed and killed by a group of werewolves.

Their relationship is to use and contain each other. Mutual use means that Marcus uses Victor's army to control William, and Victor asks Marcus to turn himself into an immortal vampire.

Because Marcus was the first vampire, he lied to Victor that as long as he died, all vampires would die, so Victor dared not touch him. Victor holds the military power and has an army of vampires. So Marcus can't touch him.

Marcus was bitten by a bat and became the first vampire, but he had no real power. Victor is a Lord and has an army under his command. Everyone in the army has become vampires and obeyed Victor. Amelia works for Victor.

Victor is the boss, but the three elders take turns in power, two sleep and one is in power. Although Marcus was the first vampire, he was not too old.
