What are the eight scenic spots in Hengyang?

Yanfeng misty rain

The crown of the eight scenic spots in Hengyang is below Yan Hui Peak, the first of the 72 peaks in Nanyue. As early as the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Antang Temple was built in Yan Hui Peak, Riding Capital Temple was built in Tang Dynasty, and Daxiong Hall, Dabei Pavilion, Moyun Building and Wangyanlou were built in late Qing Dynasty. The misty rain pool under the peak has not withered for years, and the water vapor rises like fog. If you take a look at the Xiangjiang River, it will be hidden and present, and people and scenery will be integrated. The scenery of the Wild Goose Peak is pleasant in four seasons, with exotic flowers and herbs, ancient trees and strange rocks, pavilions, forest of steles and jungles. Birds are singing and flowers are fragrant in spring, trees cover the sun in summer, rivers are seen in autumn, and silver is wrapped in winter. Xu Xiake, a famous traveler in Ming Dynasty, once traveled here and wrote the Diary of Chu Travel. What is now displayed in front of us is a grassy square. In the center of the square is a sculpture of a goose spreading its wings as a symbol of the Wild Goose City. The majestic cliffs and waterfalls are wonderful, and the water in Yanyutan is bright. Climb along the stone steps, and you will see Yuhua Pavilion, Qingjiang Pavilion, Yanfeng Temple and Songfeng Pavilion, and then climb the Wang Yuetai. At the junction of Xiang, Zheng and Lei, you will come to Yanta and Zhu Hui Pagoda to echo each other from afar. Looking around, the landscapes such as "Wild Goose Gallery", "Wild Goose Swarm", "Monument Gallery", "Pond View", "Listening to Rain Pavilion", "Returning to Wild Goose Pavilion", flower beds and teahouses are beautiful.

Shigu Jiangshan

Located at the intersection of Zhengzhou, Hunan and Leishui, the cliff stands in the middle of the river, which is spectacular. There are different opinions about the origin of its name. "Water Mirror Note" said: "The mountain is green and round, like its black beans, and the mountain is pure stone without soil, hence its shape." A poem in the Jin Dynasty said, "The stone sounds hidden, and Lei Zhen lasts for nine days.". Surrounded by mountains and water, the environment is quiet. In the early Tang Dynasty, Hejiang Pavilion and Lvjing Pavilion were built here. During the Yuanhe period in Tang Xianzong, Li Kuan built a reading pavilion here. During the Song Dynasty, the imperial court officially built a courtyard here and named it "Shigu Academy", which was one of the four famous academies in China at that time. Zhu once gave lectures here. Han Yu, Wen Tianxiang, Fan Chengda and Xu Xiake. They all wrote poems and gave a detailed and vivid description of the scenery of the stone drum. Stone drum, a historical relic, was burned down by war several times and disappeared. After liberation, it was renovated, with pavilions and promenades and beautiful scenery.

Another spring

Yueping Mountain, also known as Yaoshan Mountain, is located in Yueping Park in the south of the city, with an altitude of about 100 meters. According to legend, in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there were two immortals, Huang and Ge, who made an alchemy here, and later called the Medicine Hall, which was grand in scale and extraordinary in momentum. There is a spring in front of the temple. In spring, the well overflows and the smoke is misty, just like a picture scroll. In summer and autumn, the spring water is cool, and drinking it can relieve the heat. Whenever the sun returns, there is a dragon in the spring well, so there is a saying that "another spring dragon shows its claws"

Yueping Snowbird

Yueping Mountain is lush with trees and flowers. In spring, birds are singing and dancing, in summer, birds are singing, flowers are fragrant, and in autumn, birds are flying. The cold winter is coming, hundreds of birds are foraging in Yueping, and birds are singing all over the mountain. The winners are all singing with their necks upturned, and the struggling people are crying and screaming, which is very lively. So there is a poem: The birds in Yueping Ling Xue are noisy.

Zhulingxian cave

Located on the east side of Shigu Mountain. According to legend, during the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, Dong Feng first made an alchemy in the cave and got the name of the fairy cave. It is also said that this cave connects Nanyue and water curtain cave (also known as Zhuling Cave) in the north. A Taoist priest in Nanyue once used this cave to travel back and forth between Heng Yue, and it will arrive in an instant. On the inner wall of the cave, Du Fu, Han Yu, Wang Fuzhi and other celebrities left thousands of poems to be written, which made Zhu Lingdong preach Sanxiang as poems. Later, due to the war, especially the indiscriminate bombing by the Japanese invaders, many inscriptions were destroyed. Only the remains of the small hole and the words "Zhu Ling Back Hole" and "East Asia" on the hole are left. Although it has been trimmed, it is difficult to restore its original appearance. However, as one of the eight scenic spots in Hengyang, Zhu Ling still attracts many tourists.

Qingcaoqiaotou

On the left side of Shigu Mountain, at the junction of Zhengzhou and Hunan, there is a Caoqing Bridge. This bridge has been built for nearly 800 years. There used to be six post roads in Guhengfu. In order to facilitate communication, Qingcaodu built a wooden bridge during the Xichun period in the Southern Song Dynasty. It was rebuilt several times later. The present stone bridge was built in 1956. There are many shops, especially hotels, at both ends of the bridge, so there is a saying that "a hundred wines under the bridge". Caoqing Bridge is connected with Shigu Park, Zhuling Cave and Wuyi Overpass, attracting many tourists.

Dongzhou Taohua

In March in Jiangnan, the grass grows and the warblers fly, and the willows are green and pink. In Dongzhou, the center of Xiangjiang River, peach blossoms are in full bloom, fluctuating with the wind, like waves, like a big flower basket, floating on the Pentium Xiangjiang River. Dongzhou is surrounded by water, but no matter how the river rises, it will never be submerged. According to legend, a long time ago, a fairy sailed to Xiangjiang River to fish. In a strong wind, the fishing boat capsized and turned into a hill. It is also said that the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl met on Tanabata. In excitement, the golden shuttle in their hands slipped down the Xiangjiang River and entered Dongzhou. Wanshou Palace was built in the Ming Dynasty, with beautifully carved forest of steles. Chuanshan Academy was built here in Qing Dynasty, where Wang Chuanshan and Peng Yulin studied.

Xihu An Baili

West Lake is located in the west of the city, with an area of several hundred acres. According to textual research, the West Lake was born together with Hengyang Basin. Zheng Xiang, a scholar in the Song Dynasty, once built a house on the north shore of the West Lake. His nephew, Zhou Dunyi, studied and lectured here and wrote the famous Ailian. Later generations used the ruins of the Zhou Dynasty to build the West Lake Academy, which was abandoned during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. Later, Lianhu Memorial Hospital and Ailian Pavilion were built. It's cool in summer, and the white lotus is competing to be released, so there is a saying that "the West Lake releases Bai Lianhua at night".
