Property right of state-owned hotels

There are illegal buildings in housing construction, and all land use rights are long-term planned as urban green space. The uncertain state and prospect of complex property rights are obstacles in the transfer.

According to incomplete statistics, there are currently more than 2,000 hotels owned by central enterprises alone, ranging from star-rated hotels and resorts to guest houses and sanatoriums, with assets reaching 1000 billion yuan. The industry predicts that if the market-oriented transaction is blocked, then the divestiture of non-main hotel business by state-owned enterprises is likely to take the form of free transfer of state-owned property rights and agreement transfer. State-owned enterprises whose main business includes hotel industry may be the beneficiaries of this divestiture.
