May I ask the source of water pollution in Hong Kong?

Causes of water pollution in China and Hong Kong There are basically three types of causes of water pollution in China and Hong Kong, including: (i) various sources of sewage. Apart from natural sewage, domestic sewage, industrial and commercial sewage and agricultural sewage are the main sources of sewage in China and Hong Kong. Moreover, these sources are concentrated and produce a lot of pollutants. Dredging and dumping materials at sea can also cause pollution. (2) Lack of infrastructure. At present, neither China nor Hongkong has adequate sewage treatment facilities. Only 34% of urban sewage has been treated at or above the first level, and other sewage is discharged into the sea only after simple screening. There are only septic tanks in the suburbs, and there are no sewage treatment facilities. Iii) Lack of control In urban areas, some sewage is still illegally connected to rainwater pipes and then discharged into the sea.
