Introduction to temples in Bangkok _ The most efficacious temples in Bangkok
Summer is here, the weather is hot, and every time I go out, it is a heat wave. It seems that some beautiful things only belong to summer, such as popsicles, coke, cool sea water, swimming, night walking, midnight snack, iced watermelon and foot dragging. It seems that some trips only belong to summer, temples in Bangkok, jungles in Chiang Mai and beaches in Pattaya. Summer is here, share some travel diaries, and set off together with the feeling that it belongs only to summer.
Someone said, "When you decided to start, you were already on the road." Travel from Guangzhou to Bangkok and then to Thailand with a relaxed mood.
Landing visa is very fast and efficient. There is a free mobile phone card replacement service next to your luggage. Change the card to recharge, and everything goes well.
Living in the Radisson Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel is close to the shopping center and subway, which is very convenient for dining, shopping and sightseeing.
After the rest, I left the hotel early the next morning, and the sun had risen. Take the free TUTU shuttle bus from the hotel to Nana subway station. Take BTS from NANA Station and get off at Saphan Taskin. Then, take Exit 2 and go down the stairs to see the pier by the Chao Phraya River.
Chao Phraya River is the mother river of Bangkok, and it is also the main traffic artery in downtown Bangkok. Here, buses and boats are a major feature of Bangkok. We took an orange flag boat (the kind of slow boat that stops at every stop).
Along the Chao Phraya River, each station has some famous scenic spots, such as: N9 is the Grand Palace, N8 is the Sleeping Buddha Temple, and N 13 is the mountain road. Just remember to get off the boat at the pier corresponding to the scenic spot.
After boarding the ship, find a seat and sit down. The conductor will come to sell tickets. When sailing, when the river wind blows, it won't be so hot. The Chao phraya River is not clear, but the scenery along the coast is good. You can see floating houses and modern high-rise buildings along the way.
There are many high-end hotels and restaurants along the coast, as well as the spacious terrace of Sambal Bar (Garden Chi Pan Restaurant and Bar). Dining by the Chao Phraya River will definitely give you a pleasant feeling.
Many temples were built on the left bank of the river. There are more than 10,000 temples in Bangkok, so Thailand enjoys the reputation of "the land of thousands of buddhas" and "the land of yellow robes". It is rare to see a beautiful church by chance.
Visiting the Chao phraya River, the most striking thing is the magnificent temples and pagodas shining in the sun. Crossing the Chao Phraya River and overlooking the golden Buddhist architecture is a unique and beautiful scenery in Bangkok.
N9 disembarked and walked along the stream of people to the Grand Palace, which is located on the east bank of Chao Phraya River. Built in 1782, it consists of a group of scattered buildings, which brings together the essence of Thai painting, sculpture and decorative arts. The palace building is mainly white, surrounded by white palace walls, with a height of about 5 meters and a total length of 1900 meters. Walking into the Grand Palace, first of all, there are a large area of grasslands and ancient trees, followed by the pagoda-like spire of the Grand Palace, where you can get a glimpse of its magnificent buildings.
Further inside, it's the ticket office, 500 baht per person. While waiting in line to buy tickets, suddenly the music started and a private team came out, which was very spectacular. I was very close to it, right next to the parade, and just caught up with the whole parade.
Due to too many tourists, the west gate was temporarily closed, and everyone lined up to formally enter the inner courtyard of the Grand Palace from the east. The weather is very hot, and the tourists are so crowded that they can't breathe. When you adjust your mood, the first thing you see is Buddha's light.
Jade Buddha Temple, also known as Huguo Temple, is located in the northeast corner of the Grand Palace. It is the most famous Buddhist temple in Thailand, accounting for nearly a quarter of the total area of the Grand Palace. The jade Buddha enshrined in it is one of Thailand's three national treasures.
When you enter the Jade Buddha Temple, you will see a 6-meter-high guardian hag with a ferocious face, wearing armor and holding a sword. It is huge, located on both sides of the gate, guarding important places of Buddhism.
Before you step into the Jade Buddha Hall, you should take off your shoes, put your feet on the hot floor in the sun and look at the resplendent Jade Buddha Hall in the sun. Piety and worship rise from the bottom of my heart.
There are 40 four-corner pillars dedicated to the Jade Buddha in the Jade Buddha Hall, and the entrance is decorated with 1 12 bird's-eye figure gold statues.
Twelve golden statues stand side by side, guarding the noble jade Buddha in the temple.
When you enter the Jade Buddha Hall, you are not allowed to take photos, wear hats and keep quiet. This jade is carved from a whole piece of jade, which is very precious. The base dedicated to the jade Buddha is very high, the jade Buddha is high above, and the jade is transparent. The walls of the temple are covered with exquisite murals related to Buddhism. There is an area in front of the base of the Jade Buddha, where devout Buddhists bow down, and behind the bow-down area is a group of floating tourists. Visitors can also go to the front and bow down according to their own wishes.
Jade Buddha is very distinguished in Thailand. Jade Buddha's clothes are made of gold and jewels. Every year, the Buddha's clothes change according to the hot season, rainy season and cool season. The king or prince of Thailand personally changed clothes for the Jade Buddha to protect the country and defend the country.
Walking out of the Jade Buddha Temple, you will see a Western-style building "Boromphiman Hall", which is a welcoming hotel for state-level state guests and royal nobles and is generally closed to tourists.
The gate is guarded by soldiers.
After passing through the second door, you will come to an open place where there are two palaces, Ji Jie Palace and Lushi Palace.
Ji Jie Palace is the largest grand palace, built in 1876. "Ji Jie" means "God Plate" and "Emperor", and it is also the name of the imperial dynasty in Bangkok. The characteristic of Gong Jie is that its basic structure belongs to western architecture, but the top three spires temples are Thai architecture. This combination is unique to Thailand.
To the west of Gong Jie is Lushi Palace. This is the first imperial palace built in the Grand Palace. The top of the palace has four layers, which are stacked one on another and painted gold. This is an exquisite traditional Thai building.
Tips:
1. In Bangkok, it is customary to tip when eating, taking the bus and massaging. You can give it according to the situation.
Pay attention to dressing neatly when visiting the Grand Palace. Girls had better wear long skirts, and boys should not wear shorts and slippers. If the clothes are unqualified, there are free clothes to borrow at the door.
3. When visiting the Grand Palace, if you want to know more about the history and culture of the Grand Palace, you can rent an interpreter at the door for 200 baht.
You need to take off your shoes to enter a temple with Buddha statues.
Bangkok's rapid transit system is divided into subway lines and empty railway lines. The empty railway line is similar to the domestic light rail line and can be transferred to the subway line.
Some people say that "letting go of your body and mind is also a kind of practice", and this kind of physical and mental journey has just begun.
