How to apply for Indian visa

India visa application process:

First, the visa applicant determines the purpose of going to India and the itinerary plan.

Second, log in to the official website of the Indian Embassy in China, browse the relevant visa information and list of required materials, and record the basic steps for online application.

Third, prepare materials.

Fourth, apply online, the steps are as follows:

1) Log in to the website of the Indian Embassy in China and click "Visa Application" on the page. Click on the visa category you are applying for and you will see all the information about that visa category. Then, click "Online Visa Application" to fill out the form online.

2) Remember the temporary application ID number (15 digits, including letters and numbers), this number is automatically generated and found in the spreadsheet. If the applicant does not complete the form at once, the system allows the applicant to enter the number again. The electronic form that the applicant has not completed before will be called out and the form can be continued to be filled in.

3) After the online application is completed, the system automatically generates an application number. The completed form is in PDF format, save it, print it out, and submit it to the Visa Application Center together with other application materials. This form is the official application form required to submit a visa application. The embassy does not accept any other form of application form.

4) When filling out the visa application form online, be sure to fill in all information accurately. Once saved or printed, all information cannot be modified. Therefore, if the applicant finds that the information filled in is incorrect after saving or printing, he or she can only apply online again.

Fifth, submit the printed visa application and all required materials in the review form to the Visa Application Center.

Sixth, wait for review by the embassy or consulate.

Seventh, get your visa. After getting the visa, you should promptly and carefully check whether all the information on the visa is correct, especially whether the start and end time of the visa validity period and the number of days of stay are consistent with the application. Whether the personal information on the visa, such as the spelling of the name, is correct. If any errors are found, , should contact the embassy or consulate in time.

1. Chinese citizens must apply for an Indian visa in advance before entering India. The Indian embassy and consulates in China accept all types of visa applications from Chinese citizens. Indian embassies, consulates or high commissions in other countries also accept various visa applications from Chinese citizens. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs handles diplomatic and official visa matters. The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs and its affiliated Foreigners Management Office handle other types of visas, visa extensions, and foreigner residence permits. Chinese citizens are not allowed to apply for port visas at Indian airports and ports to enter India.

2. Passport Notes

The last page of the original passport must be signed by the holder; the validity period must be at least six months (from the last day of validity of the applied visa); the passport must have at least 2 A blank visa page for use; if you have an old passport, all must be provided.
