Is it better to take your family to Lijiang by car or by car?

Brief introduction of Lijiang go on road trip

With the improvement of living standards, traveling abroad has become a good choice for everyone to relax during holidays, and go on road trip is gradually favored by car owners, because they can freely arrange their time and itinerary and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.

I invited two friends to take my family to Lijiang, Yunnan, and had a good time. After coming back, I took a rest for a while, and wanted to write a strategy for go on road trip as a reference for riders who also plan to go to Lijiang in go on road trip.

There are seven adults and children in our party. A family of three plus two small couples. Three gay men can drive, but only two can go, and they can change people halfway to ensure driving safety. From Chongqing to Lijiang, it is expressway, and it feels very relaxed.

I asked some friends who often drive by car and consulted online. Finally, our planned route was: Chongqing-Neijiang-Yibin-Zhaotong-Panzhihua-Lijiang, which took two days. The return trip was Lijiang-Dali-Kunming-Guiyang-Chongqing, so I didn't repeat it. I also went to Dali and Kunming.

There is expressway in this section from Chongqing to Yibin, which makes driving easier and more convenient. I hate the section from Panzhihua to Lijiang, which is a mountain road. Be especially careful when driving, and it's hard to take the bus.

Let's talk about our preparations for departure and matters needing attention on the road:

About driving preparation:

The first is, of course, a comprehensive inspection of the car. It's a little funny to say this. Originally, I took out my car and a friend's car, sent them to check together, and then took them back. As a result, his car was punctured on the way, so we had to postpone it for another day.

Second, prepare all documents, such as driver's license, ID card, driving license, insurance card, etc. And then prepare enough change to pay the toll more conveniently. When we returned to go to dali, Lijiang traffic police stopped the car to check the relevant documents.

Third: bring some car repair gadgets, wrenches, traction ropes, etc. It's mainly up to you. Drivers who know how to repair cars can bring all kinds of tools just in case. For us to repair the car, it is naturally more reliable to bring a mobile phone.

Fourth: a GPS navigator. A map. The road from Yibin to Zhaotong passes through many small counties. If you are afraid of getting lost, these two things are very useful. Moreover, when going to some remote scenic spots in Lijiang, the map is unclear and there is no obvious sign. GPS can play a guiding role.

Fifth: check your physical condition. Driving is most afraid of fatigue. Although Lijiang is not very high above sea level, it is also a plateau area. If you are in poor health, you will be more likely to be afraid of high reaction.

About the preparation of daily necessities during the trip:

First: there are two boxes of mineral water in the trunk, and the drinking water problem all the way can be solved by this box of mineral water.

Second: clothes. Although Lijiang is not very cold in winter, the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, so it is no problem to bring a thin sweater and down jacket. It is enough to wear a sweater during the day and a down jacket at night. It is also very useful to go to the snow-capped mountains.

Third: Actually, you don't need an umbrella. Winter is the dry season in Lijiang, and it hardly rains. Our days in Lijiang are always sunny.

Fourth: essential drugs: band-AIDS, cold medicines, gastrointestinal medicines, etc. Personally, I think these can be taken or not. Lijiang is not a backwater. There are many pharmacies on the street, which is really serious. The medicine you brought is useless. You have to go to the local hospital.

Driving precautions:

Here, I especially remind drivers who drive to Lijiang that there are mountains and mountains everywhere in Yunnan, and the roads are all around the mountainside, with many sharp turns and narrow roads, with mountains on one side and cliffs on the other. Be careful for people who drive for the first time.

Don't grab the driveway, don't overspeed, and be more careful when going downhill in corners. Don't look at the cars on the road, after all, they have run hundreds of times. Even if someone is impatient, honk at the back, don't pay attention. I'd rather be wordy than try to be brave. Life is priceless! !

It is inevitable that we will be very tired if we concentrate so highly, so the three of us who can drive will drive in different directions. One who has a good rest drives, and the other two take a car. If the cyclist is driving alone, be sure to pull over and rest when he feels tired. I'm not on my way anyway. I just want to see the scenery while parking.

It is particularly important to obey the traffic rules when driving in Lijiang city. Listening to the riders in Lijiang said that the traffic police in Lijiang are particularly fierce, and the speed measurement is all infrared ... There are speedometers on the road from go to dali and Lijiang, and even on the road from Old Town of Lijiang to Shuhe Ancient Town. I remember once we drove back to the ancient city after dinner, and a car next to us ran a red light while waiting for the traffic light. As a result, I don't know where I got the flash, so I was photographed sadly. ...

Accommodation in Lijiang during the trip:

First: It is recommended that riders book an inn in advance before going to Lijiang, and it is strongly recommended not to stay in Xincheng Hotel. Of course, it's not that the new town hotel is not good, but that it's inconvenient to live in the old town of Lijiang and experience the feeling of living in Naxi folk houses.

Second: Old Town of Lijiang said little. There are many inns and hotels, usually seven or eight trips, and ordinary cars can't enter the ancient city. There are not many hotels in the ancient city that are easy to park. Most of them are in the center of the ancient city or remote alleys, which may be inconvenient for friends in go on road trip.

The third is the quality of the inn. The inn is a place to rest, especially after driving for a day or two. You must find a comfortable inn to rest.

To sum up the above three points, we need an inn or hotel with convenient parking and good quality in the ancient city.

Booking an inn in advance has two advantages:

One is that you don't have to drive for a day or two, and you are extremely tired. After you get married and have children, you have to find a place to park, and then go to the old city to find an inn.

Second, hotel rooms are tight during holidays, so it is definitely not a bad thing to book a good hotel in advance. Holidays are the peak season in go on road trip. It is almost difficult to find an inn in Lijiang, and it is even more difficult to find a good inn to park.

We just booked a hotel before we left. It's on Qiyi Street. It's called Yao Yuan Hotel. Although the name is a hotel, it is actually an inn. The standard Naxi quadrangle is much more exquisite and sanitary than the inn. It's also the inn I recommended by driving in Lijiang this time. The yard is big, sunny, the room is clean and tidy, with flowers, and the room is carpeted with good sound insulation effect. The key point is that the owner of the hotel is also a road travel fan. He stayed because the beautiful scenery of Lijiang attracted him on the way. Yao Yuan Hotel is a hotel specially built for road trip fans. All parties are considerate of riders and have a sense of belonging here.

After we arrived in Lijiang, we drove directly to the south gate of the ancient city, and then we could drive directly to the entrance of the inn.

My family got off and went to the inn to register. My friend and I drove to the nearby south gate parking lot, parked the car and walked back to the inn. Just the room over there was ready, so I had a rest, took a bath, and then walked to Sifang Street in the ancient city. It only takes a few minutes to walk from the hotel to Sifang Street. Qiyi Street is one of the main streets in the ancient city, with distinctive shops along the way.

Lijiang snacks on the journey:

I am very excited when I talk about this, haha. Lijiang has a lot of delicious food, and the taste of the food is similar to that of Sichuan and Chongqing. They are mainly spicy, but snacks have different tastes. I recommend these:

Rib hotpot:

Let me start with my favorite hot pot with ribs. Lijiang specialty ribs, tomato and Chinese cabbage, casserole served. The salty taste of ribs and the sweet and sour taste of tomato and Chinese cabbage are a perfect match.

The most punctual place to eat ribs is Xiangshan market, which is only ten minutes' drive from the inn. Xiangshan market is very lively and there are many families. Just find the one with more people to go in. Seven of us asked for a big pot. 88 yuan, the ribs were not enough, and they were added later. As for rinse vegetables, you can eat whatever you want, eat as much as you can, and you can return it if you can't finish it.

In addition, there is a preserved ribs restaurant called Qiuyuege Restaurant in the ancient city, which is not bad either. The taste has been improved by the boss, which is very suitable for tourists like us, especially the soup is very delicious.

Chicken jelly:

This is also one of the famous snacks on the Internet. We ate next to Shuhe Dashiqiao. Cold salad tastes just so-so, and it's fried very delicious. The taste actually comes from the seasoning mixed with bean jelly. Bean jelly itself has no taste, but it is cool and slippery.

You can try.

Naxi sausage, Naxi grilled fish, Naxi barbecue and nasimi enema.

Haha, these people are here to talk. They are all called "Naxi" and have a special taste. These dishes were all ordered together at the Gucheng Hotel.

The sausage smells good and tastes a little numb. It should be fried with Chili and bean sprouts. It's simple, but delicious.

Naxi grilled fish is actually a whole fish. Fried fish, supplemented by thick soup such as onion and tomato.

Barbecue is really delicious, second only to my love of preserved ribs. Standard pork belly, lean and salty, fat but not greasy, crispy skin, fried with mint, with a touch of coolness, very delicious.

Rice enema, that is, glutinous rice with pig blood, then stored in the pig's large intestine, dried, sliced, fried, and then put on a plate, tastes a little greasy, but tastes good.

Muslim beef restaurant

I strongly recommend it. I'm about to catch up with the ribs hot pot.

It is recommended to be at the south gate, just walk a few steps to the right outside the south gate. The beef in this house is delicious. Steaming, frying and frying are all classic. My favorite food is yak, which is fried with mint. They are fragrant and crisp.

My mouth watered as I wrote. ...

Tour routes in road trip:

I don't need to say more about the scenic spots in Lijiang. Let me talk about how the friends in go on road trip designed the tourist routes of these scenic spots:

The first day:

Old Town of Lijiang-Qingxi Reservoir-Shuhe-Baisha-Song Xue Cun-Old Town of Lijiang

This route is very simple, just buy a local map of Zhang Lijiang or use GPS navigation directly. Lijiang is actually not big, and there is no overpass or anything. The direction is easy to identify. If you don't have a map or a navigator, ask for directions.

Among them, Locke's former residence is far from Song Xue Cun, but this distance is nothing for friends who drive by car. It takes less than half an hour from Baisha to Song Xue Cun.

Qingxi Reservoir is the source of water supply in Lijiang, with broad vision and beautiful scenery. There is a lot of space under the reservoir, so parking is very convenient. Play for about an hour.

Shuhe has a long-standing reputation, so I don't need to introduce it. But this ancient town feels cleaner than Old Town of Lijiang. There is a speedometer on the way from Qingxi Reservoir to Shuhe, so riders must not overspeed. On the road near Shuhe, there are locals who stop cars and don't have to stop. Restaurants or inns attract customers.

There is a parking lot next to Shuhemen, which is very convenient. Play in Shuhe River, and then have lunch. Come out after lunch and drive to Baisha.

There is a square in front of Baisha mural, which is convenient for parking and has free public toilets. Baisha is a small town. You can visit it in less than an hour. If you want to see the mural, you can count it as an extra hour.

It takes half an hour to get to Song Xue Cun, and you can visit it in an hour. Then you can drive directly back to Lijiang. At this time, there are many cars coming down from the direction of the snow-capped mountains, and the speed is fast. Be careful when driving.

The next day:

Go to the snow-capped mountains and surrounding scenic spots. Tickets for Snow Mountain can be booked directly from Yao Yuan Hotel. So the tour route of this day is:

Old Town of Lijiang-Ganhaizi-Baishui River-Yunshanping-Yushui Village-Yuzhu Qingtian Scenic Area-Dongba Pantheon-Old Town of Lijiang.

On the way back, I will pass through Baisha. I went to see it the day before, so I don't need to go.

These scenic spots have parking lots, which are very convenient. Moreover, there are not many cars along the way, the road conditions are good, the vision is wide and the scenery is good. I enjoyed driving all the way.

The third day:

Shuhe suburb-Lashihai-Heilongtan.

There are two ways to Lashihai. One is to take the building materials market from Changshui Road, but the dust there is very heavy, so it is recommended that riders who love cars take Shuhe, where there is a live view of Shuhe.

The specific route is to drive to the gate of Shuhe River, and then take the road on the left of Shuhe River to the outskirts of Shuhe River. There are bus stops all the way, with signs in the middle indicating the direction of Lashihai. From there, you can avoid the building materials market and directly transfer to the road to Lashihai. But there will be traffic jams on the way to Lashihai, and there will be a lot of traffic. We gambled for a long time that day, moving bit by bit like ants crawling.

There are more parking spaces in Lashihai. When you arrive in Lashihai, you can choose to ride a horse or row a boat, which can avoid tickets. You can play in Lashihai for 3-4 hours.

Then return to Lijiang the same way. If you want to go to the Black Dragon Pool, you can park your car at the south gate and then cross the ancient city, or you can drive directly to the parking lot at the north gate, park your car and have dinner at the Qiuyuege restaurant over there. The food in this restaurant is delicious. Then go directly from the restaurant to Black Dragon Pool.

Black Dragon Pool can get free tickets with the Gu Wei fee, visit for about an hour, and then pick up the car and drive back to the inn to have a rest.

The fourth and fifth days

Lijiang-Lugu Lake.

The road from Lijiang to Lugu Lake is also very difficult. This is a mountain road. And the road conditions are not good, but it will be better in winter, and it will be much easier if it doesn't rain. And there is no gas station on the road, so be sure to fill up the gas in Lijiang before you leave. You can go to the gas station near Ninglang to replenish it when you come back. This must be paid attention to.

This section of the road is a great test for the driver's skills and the endurance of passengers. You must drive carefully on the way to Lugu Lake. It takes about half a day to drive from Lijiang to Lugu Lake. It is suggested that riders leave after lunch in Lijiang.

Hotels in Lugu Lake can also be booked in advance. We booked it directly at Yao Yuan Hotel, Mosuo Past Inn, which is a branch opened by the owner of Lugu Lake Yao Yuan Hotel.

It's almost time for dinner in Lugu Lake. Stop to have a rest, have dinner, then take a walk along the lake, and then go back to the inn to have a rest.

Get up early the next morning to breathe the fresh air of Lugu Lake. If you are interested, you can drive along the lake and enjoy the scenery.

After lunch, we returned to Lijiang. We stayed at Yao Yuan Hotel in Lijiang, and we especially liked the atmosphere of this hotel. If you have nothing to do, just bask in the sun at the inn, stay in a daze and play billiards.

Riders with plenty of time can stay in Lugu Lake for one more day and visit the small island on Lugu Lake by boat.

sixth day

Lijiang-Xionggu-Shigu-Lijiang, the first bay of the Yangtze River

This is also for the first bay of the Yangtze River, but now it is the dry season in the southwest, so the river is not particularly turbulent, but the momentum of that turn is still spectacular.

Shigu Town is just by the river. It is said that the scenery in spring and autumn is extremely beautiful, but it seems a bit desolate in winter.

But stone drum jelly is highly recommended. Very delicious! ! Personally, I feel twice as delicious as the bean jelly I ate in Lijiang.

The seventh day, the eighth day, the ninth day

Lijiang-Tiger Leaping Gorge-Shangri-La

Depart from Lijiang to Shangri-La at about 10 in the morning, passing through Lashihai and Tiger Leaping Gorge on the way.

It takes about two hours to drive from Lijiang to Tiger Leaping Gorge. We didn't go hiking We just went down to have a look, had lunch and then drove to Shangri-La. Shangri-La lives in Moon Inn, near Sifang Street, the ancient city of Shangri-La. The ancient city of Shangri-La is smaller than Shuhe River, and there is a parking lot at the entrance of the ancient city, which is only a few minutes' walk away.

Yak hot pot in the ancient city is delicious, and there are barbecues in Sifang Street.

Shangri-La has many scenic spots, such as Ira Grassland, Songzanlin Temple and Pudacuo Park. I didn't go to Meili Snow Mountain for three days.

The scenic spots of Shangri-La can also be reached by car. It is very clear to buy a map in the ancient city. The scenic spots are generally some distance from the urban area, so parking is no problem.

Shangri-La is a little taller and colder than Lijiang, but a down jacket is fine.

Leave Shangri-La early in the morning on the tenth day and return to Lijiang. Still living in the ancient city.

On the morning of the tenth and eleventh day.

On the morning of the tenth day, I drove back to Lijiang from Shangri-La, then stayed in Lijiang, cleaned up a little, and left Lijiang on the afternoon of the eleventh day.

The main project is to visit the ancient city. I bought some souvenirs during the day and went to the pub at night. The day passed quickly.

On the afternoon of the eleventh day, the twelfth day

It took more than three hours to drive from Lijiang to Dali at 1 pm on the eleventh day.

I live in the ancient city of Dali and drive to Shuanglang Town at night, where noodles are only two yuan a bowl. Then walk from Shuanglang Town to Caise Township, which is equivalent to a circle around Erhai Lake. You can see Erhai Lake and hear the sound of waves along the way. It takes more than two hours.

On the twelfth day, I drove to the Three Pagodas, Tianlong Babu Film and Television City and butterfly spring, all of which were artificially developed scenic spots, and there were too many tourists.

However, Dali is still quite big, much bigger than Lijiang, and I really can't find my way around the new city.

I left early in the morning on the thirteenth day and returned to Chongqing via Kunming.

After driving for two whole days, we finally returned to Chongqing. We went to rinse hot pot together, ate warmly, sweated and cried, and then thought about going back to road trip for half a month. I don't want to mention how cool it is!

If you have time in the future and want to go somewhere in the East, or have the opportunity to drive to Tibet, it will definitely be a better road trip experience! Then write it down and share it with your riders when you are there. ...

Of course, go on road trip is still good, and there are few buses between scenic spots, which is inconvenient.
