Travel strategy and detailed destination of Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue

You can take the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed train to Hengshan West Station. After leaving the station, there will be a bus (3.5 yuan/person) to the Nanyue archway, and then you can take the free battery car to get tickets to Nanyue Temple and Hengshan Mountain. If you take a long-distance bus, you will pass Nanyue Temple. You can get off there directly and take the battery car. By train, the railway station is a little far from the scenic spot, but there are also buses to the scenic spot.

Mountain climbing can take the eco-friendly tourist bus in the scenic spot, and the round-trip fare is 70 yuan/person. If you buy a one-way trip to 40 yuan, the tourist bus has stops at major scenic spots, so you can get off and take the next bus to continue to visit the next scenic spot. There is a cableway leading to Nantianmen in Banshan Pavilion (the fare has been included in the ticket price of the tour bus, so you don't need to buy a ticket), or you can choose to go up the mountain by car. There is no car ride from Nantianmen to Zhurongfeng (not far). You can choose to walk or take a sedan chair.

If physical conditions permit, you can also choose to walk all the way, so that you can see more beautiful scenery. It takes about 4-5 hours to climb the mountain. You can stay in a family hotel on the mountain for one or two hundred yuan for one night, and some temples can also stay.

The main attractions are Nanyue Temple (at the foot of the mountain), Huayan Lake, Fanyin Valley (Yamutan has a good scenery here, but it can only be reached on foot), Shenzhou Ancestral Temple, Martyrs' Shrine, Sichuan Rock Forest, Banshan Pavilion, Du Xuan Temple, Ancestral Temple, Nantianmen, Shangfeng Temple, Sunwatch Platform and Zhurongfeng. From Banshan Pavilion to the west, there are also scenic spots such as Magu Wonderland, Lingzhi Spring, Mojingtai, Fuyan Temple, King Kong Pagoda and Nantai Temple. Walking is highly recommended in this scenic spot, because the coaches don't stop at every scenic spot, and tourists usually ride all the way up the mountain in peak season, so there may be no seats for you to get on.

If time permits, take two or three days to swim slowly. If you are lucky, you can get up early to watch the sunrise. Besides, the tofu near Nantianmen is delicious. You must try it!
