According to Baidu Encyclopedia, Linchuan Four Dreams, also known as Tang Yumeng Four Dreams. The classic works of Linchuan literature refer to the Peony Pavilion, Purple Hairpin Phoenix, Handan and Conan created by Tang Xianzu, a playwright in Ming Dynasty. The first two are children's dramas, and the last two are social dramas. Perhaps the "Four Dramas" all have dreams, which is why they are called "Four Dreams in Linchuan", or perhaps the "Four Dramas" themselves are the dreams of life that they have worked hard for all their lives.

Tang Xianzu, a famous dramatist in Ming Dynasty, was born in Linchuan, Jiangxi (now Fuzhou, Jiangxi). His real name was Hai Ruo, a Taoist priest in Qingyuan, and he died in the forty-fourth year of Wanli in Ming Shenzong (A.D. 16 16). His life has gone through three periods: Jiajing, Qin Long and Wanli.
