Weizhou Island Travel Guide
Weizhou Island is a resort with a warm summer climate and a tourist destination that attracts great attention from tourists from all over the world. There are crystal clear waters, magnificent beaches, and a feast of seafood that tantalizes your taste buds. The following is a vacation guide to Weizhou Island.
Day1: Preparation
Preparation before departure:
One week before departure, I booked a round-trip air ticket to Weizhou Island in Beihai online. Tickets to Weizhou Island must be booked in advance, especially during the peak tourist season, and then you must check the order carefully and calculate the time. Because my hands were shaking and I chose the wrong direction, the refund fee was less than 15.1 minutes, and I lost two 30 yuan tickets.
It was almost 1 o'clock when the plane arrived at Beihai Fucheng Airport. Then we took a taxi to Li Lai Hotel and stayed there. We learned a lot before that the traffic in Beihai is very bumpy, and our travel experience shows that locals who are particularly enthusiastic about soliciting passengers are likely to be bumpy, so our traffic in Beihai is basically a taxi app, and there are taxis in Beihai. There are many private trams, and most trams are used to the nearest places.
Fucheng Airport is quite small and old, and cannot be compared with Nanjing Lukou Airport. On the way to the hotel, Beihai City is still relatively underdeveloped, but the tall tropical plants on the roadside are still very novel to people in inland cities. Beihai City gives people a feeling of a very slow pace. There are more electric scooters on the road than cars. The greenery is very good, which makes people who want to escape from the metropolis feel very relaxed.
On the plane flying to Beihai City, watching the plane flying higher and higher, I became more and more irritated.
Beihai is full of big banyan trees.

After arriving at the hotel, we opened Meituan to look at Wang Jie’s recommended seafood. Wangjie Seafood is in Lao Cai, so we took a taxi. The price of 188 for two persons is affordable. Chili shrimp and spicy crab are the specialties of Wang Jie's family and they taste very good. I ordered another bottle of Liquan beer for 10 yuan. I had a small plate of Pipi shrimp in Rizhao before, which cost more than 300 for a small plate. Compared with this 188 package, it is not too affordable. It's like eating cabbage. (I personally think the best way to eat seafood in another seaside city is to open XX and XXXX. I will use thousands of good reviews to exclude the basic ones. Most of the good reviews and a few bad reviews are normal).
After dinner, we decided to go to the supermarket near the hotel to buy some things for going to the island tomorrow, and then go to the bank to withdraw some cash for emergencies. (In fact, Weizhou Island’s QR code payment system is very developed, so you don’t need a penny of cash when you go out.) Then go back to the hotel to go to bed and rest up.
In the evening, I plan to go to Beihai Silver Beach. I want to take a bus. While I was waiting for the bus, a woman next to me kept asking me to look at houses in Beihai, saying that the value of houses in Beihai would increase. She pestered me for a long time, causing me to miss the bus before leaving. It was almost 7 o'clock at this time, and I hesitated whether to take a taxi. My husband found that there was an electric car nearby, and it was not far away. The two of them rode the *** tram to Silver Beach, feeling the wind blowing from the sea along the way. The ***Xiang tram is very light and easy to ride, but you have to walk within the designated area when returning the tram, and the Internet speed is slow when returning the tram.
On the Silver Beach at night, when you can't see the sea, you can see the bright moonlight. After experiencing the vicissitudes of life, it’s great to see when the bright moon comes. The sand at Silver Beach is really fine and white, but it’s a pity that you can’t see crabs crawling around at night.
Day2: Beihai-Weizhou Island
The ticket leaves for Weizhou Island at 10 o'clock. Maybe it was because riding an electric bike last night felt so good. In addition, I rarely carry two pieces of luggage in two schoolbags. In the morning, my husband will ride an electric bike to Beihai International Passenger Port. Then a tragic scene happened. I went the opposite direction and I led myself to the wrong place? Then I couldn’t bear to recall the subsequent process. Anyway, I finally arrived at Beihai International Passenger Port a few minutes before 10 o'clock. My sunscreen and cup got lost in the middle of the trip. I was blind, and I swore in my mind that I would never ride an electric bike again.
It takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to get to Weizhou Island. It is a bit shaky, but there is no seasickness that is enough to cause vomiting as others said. I don’t think there were many people vomiting in the whole car. Maybe it was a calm day and the boat didn't have much fluctuation. On the boat, my husband refilled it for me. How do I read a map? Hahahahahaha
On the Weizhou Island boat, you can swipe your ID card and face. If the ticket to the island was purchased online, you can also swipe your face and ID card.
At the end of noon, I arrived at the port of Weizhou Island, got off the ship, and contacted the person arranged by the hotel owner to pick me up.
The road along the way was so good that it was shaky in places. The roads on Weizhou Island are so twisty and winding that there are roads wherever you think there are no roads.
We stayed at You Me Time Seaview Hotel. Don't be fooled by the name. It says it has a sea view, but in fact you can't see the sea. Weizhou Island is not a big island, it is composed of many villages. Our B&B is not in a village near the sea, and the owner is from Northeast China. She happened to be back in Shenyang when we went there, so my husband and I stayed in the entire B&B. The boss said we should upgrade to a room with a hanging basket.
This B&B is rented and run by this northeastern girl from local villagers. The landlord and his wife lived in a room downstairs. At first, I was worried about safety. From the communication with the poster, I learned that this island is safe. There are three military bases on the island, and the doors are not locked when sleeping at night (I envy you so much).
Although the entire communication process with the BB owner is through instant messaging tools, the owner is very enthusiastic. We prepared a battery car in advance and said we would like to ride two or one. Anyway, we charge rent for one car, and in the off-season we rent 60 cars a day.
We went to Rainbow Beach, Shiluo Beach, Dishui Danping Scenic Area, and then went to Muya to watch the sunset.
Then go to the hotel to rest.
I went out for a walk at night and found a snail noodle shop called Zhong, Liuzhou snail noodle, which was delicious. (Snail noodles are really smelly, and there is still a smell under the nails after taking a shower)
The road to Weizhou Island is really steep. When renting a car, be sure to test the brakes. Otherwise, it's really dangerous if you fall down the mountain. Slow down. Slow down.
I personally like the sea near Rainbow Beach. People in these three scenic spots are lobbying you to play amusement projects. I like to see the scenery, but I'm not interested in it. People who play must negotiate the price. For example, I later heard someone say that it is faster to ride a motorboat for the first 100 minutes. After that, the price becomes very expensive. Everyone must say hello to the price. If you don't know what to do, you will be miserable.
When I was doing the guide before, many people said that villagers would have to pay for parking. It's true. Villagers usually draw a circle around the entrance of the scenic spot or build a shed. Then, when you park, the parking fee is 3-5 yuan. But you can actually walk back and stop somewhere out of the way, and they can't charge you. Weizhou Island has basically no car theft incidents and is very safe.
Every time you go to a scenic spot, it is really annoying to have someone ask you for parking fees, especially when you hear that there is a fee and you are ready to move your car. The aunt's expression is really funny, it feels like there is a duck flying in her mouth. Some of them will chase you from a distance and ask you to stop at their place, saying that they will take care of your safety. In fact, it is nonsense. As long as it doesn't get in the way, there's no way to sell stolen cars on this island.
Bananas on Weizhou Island are very cheap. 5 yuan is a lot of money. Two bananas sell for 5 yuan at the stall, and shredded coconut is sold on the street. It's delicious for 5 yuan a cup.
The locals on Weizhou Island have a weak sense of service. You must be mentally prepared when playing and don't let this affect your mood. After all, Weizhou Island has only seen many tourists in recent years. Compared with mature islands, there is still a gap, but it is still better than primitive nature. On the island, you can also see bricks made from coral reefs, houses built from them, domestic chickens running around, and even smell the fishy smell of seafood. But it felt real to me. Isn’t this what an island should look like? Hammocks and various bright flowers can be seen everywhere in the village, making people feel natural, quiet and slow down.
Weizhou Island is building many huts and developing tourist attractions. You won't be able to see this primitive thing until Weizhou Island is as mature as Hainan Island. I hope that more of this original thing can be preserved in the future so that people in big cities can also feel that kind of tranquility.
