According to legend, China's first drug king, Emperor Shennong of Yan Di, once tasted herbs, washed medicines, pounded medicines and refined Dan in Wang Yaoshan to save the common people. Sun Simiao, the drug king, lived here in seclusion, hence his name Wang Yao. The scenic spot is divided into Shennonggou, Mawei Waterfall and Shilin.
