General situation of the second troupe of Hangzhou Yue Opera Troupe

Hangzhou Second Yue Opera Troupe is located in Tonglu, Zhejiang. Its predecessor was Tonglu Quyi Yue Opera Troupe, which was founded in September 1950. Zhejiang Repertory Theatre, established more than 50 years ago, has been deeply loved by the theater and the audience with its simple artistic style, rigorous stage style and persistent exploration spirit. 1988, Zhejiang Opera Troupe was evaluated and graded for the first time, and the second group of Hangzhou Yue Opera Troupe ranked first in the province, and was awarded the title of "Zhejiang First-class Troupe", and was repeatedly rated as the advanced collective of provincial cultural work.

With its excellent stage style and profound artistic connotation, Hangzhou Yueju Second Troupe has created and performed a large number of outstanding Yueju repertoires with strong folk customs and civil and military characteristics, and won more than 200 awards in various drama exhibitions and competitions at national, provincial and municipal levels. Among them, Spring Moon, Rain on the Tongjiang River, Moon Lake, Turbid Waves and Remnant Love won many awards at the first, second, third, fifth and seventh drama festivals in Zhejiang Province. "Spring Moon" and "Rain on the Tongjiang River" were also adapted and made into opera film's "The Legend of the Embroidered Mother" and "Tears on the Tung Flower", which were released in the north and south of the Yangtze River, and the original troupe of a small county town was able to appear on the screen twice, which received rave reviews and became famous for a while. Many newspapers, such as People's Daily, China Times, Wen Wei Po and China Culture Newspaper, have published articles in succession, praising Hangzhou Yue Opera Troupe 2 as "a pearl on the stage of Jiangnan opera".
