Our city has held a municipal tourism industry development conference every year since 2017, and it has been held three consecutive times so far. The first tourism development conference in 2017 was held in Qian'an City, Qianxi County and Zunhua City in the north of our city. The 4th Tangshan Tourism Industry Development Conference is hosted by the Tangshan Municipal People’s Government, Tangshan Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, Tangshan Cultural Tourism Investment Group Co., Ltd. Organized by the Lubei District People's Government, Lunan District People's Government, and Kaiping District People's Government, it will be held at Tangshan Nanhu International Convention and Exhibition Hotel from September 10 to 11, 2020. The theme of the conference is "Cultural Tourism Empowerment, Urban Renewal". Through on-site guest experience and media focus publicity, the conference will focus on the development achievements of the urban cultural tourism industry with Nanhu as the core, highlighting the characteristics of "cultural tourism integration and urban economy" .

"Tangshan Weekend" is a brand that deeply integrates culture, transportation, agriculture, housing construction, medical care, sports, catering and other industries, and condenses Tangshan's rich humanistic ecology and other comprehensive tourism, leisure and vacation industries. Nanhu is a large urban lake in the center of Tangshan. It is a very scarce and high-quality urban ecological landscape resource. After generations of people's struggle with nature, it has finally undergone a historic change from "deep black" to "blue". The current Nanhu Lake has a beautiful environment, pleasant climate, and ecological livability, making it very suitable for families and friends to travel and play.

The mascot "Tang Nannan" wears a dragon-head hat, which is inspired by the landmark building "Longshan Pavilion" in the Nanhu tourist area. The dragon represents the vigorous development of Tangshan like a giant dragon; "Tang Nannan" wears a phoenix on her head. The head hat is inspired by the iconic building "Danfeng Chaoyang" in the Nanhu tourist attraction. The phoenix represents the city's phoenix's rebirth from the ashes.
