Abbot Shi Qingxian returned to secular life
In June 2012, Abbot Qingxian, the leader of the thousand-year-old Qiongzhu Temple in Kunming, gave up his years of spiritual practice and returned to secular life on June 9th. There were 30 tables on the floor for the wedding, and the person he married was a 26-year-old female boss specializing in jade business.
Qingxian did not say hello to the temple monks when he left, but handed the procedures directly to the Kunming Buddhist Association. None of the temple monks knew about it. In the eyes of everyone, Abbot Qingxian is not only a highly respected monk, but also serves as a member of the Kunming Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference and the vice president of the Kunming Buddhist Association.
