1955 - The Emmy Awards were held on both coasts of the United States, at the Moulin Rouge in Hollywood and Nino's LaRue Hotel in New York. NBC spent $110,000 to buy the rights to broadcast the awards show. The awards ceremony is held simultaneously on the east and west coasts, which enhances the authority and publicity of the Emmy Awards.

1956 - Pan Pacific Auditorium in Los Angeles and Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York

1957 - NBC Television's Burbank Studios and New York's Colonial Theatre. This year's awards ceremony achieved the first national color television broadcast.

1958 - Coconut Grove Convention Center in Los Angeles and NBC Studios in New York

1959 - Moulin Rouge in Hollywood, Ziegfeld Theater in New York and the Mayflower in Washington hotel. This is the first live broadcast in three places. The live broadcast coincided with a strike by station technicians, who wore tuxedos in accordance with Emmy's dress code but refused to work. Therefore, the photography and broadcasting work in the live broadcast room is completed by the supervisor of NBC TV station. The live broadcast work was successfully completed.

1960 - NBC Television's Burbank Sound Stage and New York's Ziegfeld Theater. At the annual awards ceremony, Harry Belafonte became the first black actor to win an Emmy Award.

1961 - Moulin Rouge, Hollywood and Ziegfeld Theater, New York. This year's Emmy Awards ceremony surpassed popular programs such as "The Ed Sullivan Show" to become the ratings champion of the week.

1962 - Patron Saint of Hollywood, New York's Astor Hotel and Washington, D.C.'s Sheraton-Park Hotel

1963 - Patron Saint of Hollywood Theaters, New York's Americana Hotel and Washington's Sheraton Park Hotel

1964 - Hollywood's Patron Theater and the Texas Music Hall at the New York World's Fair

< p>1965 - Hollywood Patron Theater and New York Hilton Hotel. Among this year's awards, five actors won the Outstanding Contribution Award and four programs won the Outstanding Entertainment Program Award.

1966 - Hollywood's Patron Theater and New York's Americana Hotel. Previously, the Emmy Awards had been broadcast live by NBC. Starting from this year, the awards ceremony will be broadcast live by CBS, NBC and ABC in turn. This year's awards ceremony was broadcast live on CBS.

1967 - Century City Tower Hotel and Americana Hotel New York. Best Costume Design becomes a new award.

1968 - Patron Theater in Hollywood and the Americana Hotel in New York. Lucille Ball, Carol Burnette and Sinatra sang "I Remember It Well" which set off the climax of the awards ceremony.

1969 - Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and Carnegie Hall, New York. Four defunct series won awards, and there were vacancies in the categories of Best Supporting Actor, Best Musical Director for a Comedy and Variety Series, and Best Children's Program.

1970 - Century City Hotel and Carnegie Auditorium in Century City. This awards ceremony will focus on the Primetime Emmy Awards for the first time.

As the number of awards has greatly increased, television broadcasts can no longer bear the lengthy awards ceremony. The creative awards are held in a separate awards ceremony and are not broadcast on television.

From 1971 to 1972, the Emmy Awards were held again at the Patron Theater in Hollywood. For the first time since 1953, the Emmy Awards have become Hollywood's biggest event. Shirley Dinsdale, who won her first Emmy trophy, flew from New York to Hollywood to support the awards ceremony.

1973 - Shubert Theater, Century City, Los Angeles

1974 - Pantages Theater, Hollywood. Since the annual Emmy Awards have numerous Best Actor awards, such as drama, comedy, and TV movie categories, a Super Emmy Award is set up to allow these actors to compete for the "Actor of the Year" award. However, it had to be canceled after protests from many people in the television industry.

1975 - Patron Theater, Hollywood. Writers and directors have threatened to boycott the Emmys after reports that organizers had planned not to honor them on live television.

1976 - Shubert Theater, Century City. The Creative Emmy Awards will be presented at a separate ceremony at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.

1977-1997 - During this period, the 21st Emmy Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the same venue, namely the Pasadena Municipal Auditorium in southern California and the northeastern suburbs of Los Angeles. (Pacadena Civic Auditorium). From 1977 to 1995, the Creative Emmy Awards were held at the Municipal Exhibition Hall; in 1996 and 1997, the Creative Emmy Awards were held at Pasadena City College's Sexson Auditorium. In 1977, due to differences between the two academies in New York and Hollywood and other reasons, the Primetime Emmy Awards were moved to September. The Hollywood Academy regained its old name - the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, while the New York Academy changed its name to the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The two academies select different awards respectively. Hollywood retains the Primetime Emmy Awards, while New York is in charge of daytime programming, documentaries and sports Emmy Awards.

1998-2007 - The ten Emmy Awards during this period were all held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. From 1998 to 2002, the Creative Emmy Awards were held at the Pasadena Municipal Auditorium, then moved to the Temple Theater in subsequent years. In 2002, the Creative Emmy Awards were televised for the first time.

2008-2009——In 2008, the Primetime Emmy Awards and Creative Emmy Awards were held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. This year’s awards ceremony will continue to light up the Nokia Theater.

In 2015, the 67th American Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
