What are the historical sites in Changsha, Hunan?
1, Yuelu Academy
Yuelu Academy is one of the four famous academies in the history of China. It is located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain on the west bank of Xiangjiang River in Changsha, Hunan, a famous historical and cultural city in China. As one of the oldest universities in the world, its ancient traditional academy buildings are still intact.
Every group of courtyards, every stone tablet, every brick and tile, and every wind lotus shine with the humanistic spirit tempered by time. 1988, Yuelu Academy complex was approved by the State Council as the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Yuelu Academy has experienced thousands of years, with endless string songs and endless learning pulse. In the ninth year of Kaibao in the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 976), Zhu Dong, the secretariat of Tanzhou, founded Yuelu Academy with government donations on the basis of running schools by monks.
In the eighth year of Xiangfu in the Northern Song Dynasty (A.D. 10 15), Song Zhenzong summoned the Yuelu Mountain Chang Zhou style and presented the book "Yuelu Academy" with an imperial pen. After the Southern Song Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty, in the 29th year of Guangxu in the late Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1903), Yuelu Academy and Hunan Provincial University Hall were merged and restructured into Hunan higher education, and the former site of the Academy was used.
In the Republic of China 15 (A.D. 1926), Hunan University was officially named Hunan University, and the academy base has been expanded to this day.
2.Tianxin Pavilion
Tianxin Pavilion is located in the southeast corner of downtown Changsha, Hunan Province, on the ancient city wall at the intersection of Chengnan Road and Tianxin Road. It is a tower of the ancient city of Changsha.
Tianxin Pavilion has a pavilion with three floors, with a building area of 846 square meters, blue tile cornices and painted buildings in Zhu Liang.
Tianxin Pavilion was built in the late Ming Dynasty and rebuilt during the reign of Qing Qianlong. During the Anti-Japanese War, Tianxin Pavilion was rebuilt on 1983 because it was destroyed by Wenxi fire.
3. Jia Yi's former residence
Jia Yi's former residence is located in Taiping Street, Changsha City, Hunan Province (the intersection of Jiefang West Road and Taiping Street).
Jia Yi's former residence was built during the reign of Emperor Wen of the Western Han Dynasty, and it was the residence of Jia Yi, the wife of Changsha Wang. From BC 177 to BC 174, Jia Yi, a famous political commentator, thinker and writer in the Western Han Dynasty, lived here and was the master of Changsha.
4. kaifu temple
Kaifu temple is located in Xinhe, north of Changsha, Hunan Province, near Xiangjiang River. The main building, facing south, is the Yang Qi Temple of Zen Buddhism in Lin Ji. ?
Kaifu temple was founded in the Five Dynasties, and experienced the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Covering an area of 48,000 square meters, with a building area of 1.6 million square meters, there are three Buddhist temples, namely, three temples (Maitreya Hall), the Giant Buddha Hall (Mahayana Hall) and the Pilu Hall. The east wing has a living room, a zhaitang, a warehouse and an abbot's room, and the west wing has a dharma hall and a meditation hall. There is a stone tablet in the temple between Kangxi and Guangxu in Qing Dynasty. ?
Kaifu temple is one of the key Buddhist monasteries in China, and is listed as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit in Hunan. Hunan Buddhist Association and Changsha Buddhist Association are both located in the temple.
5. Lushan Temple
Lushan Temple, also known as Huiguang Temple and manjuji, is located halfway up Yuelu Mountain on the west bank of Xiangjiang River in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It was founded by Li Fachong, a disciple of Dunhuang Bodhisattva Li, in the fourth year of Taishi in the Western Jin Dynasty (AD 268). It has a history of 1700 years. It is the earliest relic of Buddhism introduced into Hunan, and now it is a key cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province and the resident of Hunan Buddhist Association.
