West Tower of Zhujiang New Town

The West Tower of Guangzhou Pearl River New Town, with a height of 432 meters, ranks sixth in the world and second in Chinese mainland, occupying a place in the world's super high-rise buildings.

The West Tower is one of the six landmark buildings in Guangzhou Pearl River New Town. Located in the southwest core financial and business district of Zhujiang New Town, it is adjacent to Zhujiang Avenue in the east, Huaxia Road in the west, Huajiu Road in the south and Huacheng Avenue in the north, and is located on the central axis of the new town.

The project covers an area of 3 1 000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 450,000 square meters. It consists of four floors underground, a main tower with 65,438+003 floors above ground and an annex building with 28 floors. It has two hotel lobbies, located on the first floor and the 70th floor respectively. The 69th to 100 floors are super platinum five-star hotels, which are the highest hotels in China, including 99th to 69th floors.

The estimated investment of the project is 6 billion yuan. In September 2005, Yuexiu Investment, Urban Construction Group and the urban construction development under Yuexiu Group won the bid, and Guangzhou Yuexiu International Financial Center Co., Ltd. was established for construction and operation. The project started construction at the end of 2005 and was completed at the end of 2009. Delivered as a supporting project for the 20 10 Asian Games.

The image of the West Tower is "transparent crystal", and the structure adopts the innovative rhombic inclined grid tube structure system, the concrete filled steel tube giant inclined grid outer tube, the reinforced concrete shear wall inner tube, and the steel-concrete composite floor connecting the inner and outer tubes. This unique and innovative tube-in-tube structural system has sufficient lateral stiffness and excellent seismic performance. When encountering unexpected events such as impact and explosion, it will only be partially damaged, and it will not cause chain reaction and collapse, and the overall safety of the structure is high.

Tests by China Institute of Building Research and Tongji University show that the West Tower can resist a rare earthquake of 8 degrees (Guangzhou's seismic fortification intensity is 7 degrees); At the same time, the test results of CPP company and Shantou University in the United States show that people in the tower will not feel uncomfortable under the action of once-in-a-century gale. This structural system is the only one used in super high-rise buildings in the world.

-Intelligent safety: 600 tons of water on the roof can be put out by gravity flow.

The West Tower has a developed "nervous system" consisting of thirteen intelligent systems, including safety prevention system, automatic fire alarm and linkage control system, public emergency broadcasting system, all-in-one card system, parking lot management and vehicle guidance system, equipment monitoring system, computer network system, integrated wiring, information system, conference system, communication network, visual intercom system, cable TV and satellite receiving system, etc. Integrated intelligent system is ahead of domestic super high-rise buildings.

Among them, 600 cubic meters of fire water stored on the roof (equivalent to the storage capacity of 60 vehicles 10 ton fire engines) can be extinguished by gravity flow in the case of power interruption and equipment damage.

-Energy conservation and environmental protection: "Crystal Beauty" wears energy-saving "clothes"

The West Tower has been innovated and optimized in many aspects such as architecture, electricity, air conditioning and water saving. For example, the "Nishang" worn by "Crystal Beauty" adopts the world-leading "low reflection and high transparency" double-layer double silver LOW-E glass, with a reflectivity of only 20%, which is 40% less than that of ordinary mirror glass, thus reducing the reflection pollution to surrounding buildings.
