Brief introduction of Wang Xizhi's former residence

There are two former residences of Wang Xizhi. One is located at No.20, Xiyanhu Street, lanshan district, Linyi City. It is a classical garden-style building, covering an area of about 5 mu. Legend has it that Wang Xizhi went to the pool to wash inkstones after practicing calligraphy hard in his childhood. After a long time, the water in the pool is black, so people call it "Xiyan Lake". The newly renovated Xiyan Lake, book-drying platform, goose pond, pavilion and other relics can provide a glimpse of the royal residence at that time. The newly-built Golden Mo Zhai, Calligraphy Exhibition Room, and 100m Calligraphy Monument Gallery will let you enjoy the different styles of calligraphy, inscriptions and calligraphy works of contemporary North and South people. The other is located in Jinting Town, 35 kilometers east of Shengzhou City, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. It used to be the hometown of Wang Xizhi, a great calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (Wang Xizhi lived here in seclusion in his later years). The 13th Sun gave up his house to practice here. It was called Jinzheng Pavilion and later renamed Jinzheng Palace. In the seventeenth year of Song Yongchu (440), Chu changed to Yanjin.
