Is there any hot pot in Chongqing that can be eaten on board?

At Chaotianmen Pier 6, I found that this golden cruise ship was a little special. There were some hotel signboards hanging on it, and there was also a Brother Zhou Hotpot restaurant in the middle. As a Chongqing native, I have never eaten Brother Zhou’s hotpot, but Brother Zhou’s reputation is quite big, so my friend said he wanted to try it.

With curiosity, we boarded the ship. The interior of the cruise ship was no different from an ordinary hotel. The overall facilities were relatively complete. However, because it was the off-peak tourist season, there were not many guests and it was a little deserted.

Take the sightseeing elevator to the 5th floor, where you will find Brother Zhou’s hot pot restaurant. Each private room is named after each district or county in Chongqing, and is equipped with a separate balcony and bathroom. There are several private rooms with people dining, and the lights on the doors say do not disturb, so they are very private.

On the 6th deck, it is divided into several different areas, such as open kitchens. Here, you can see the preparation of hot pot base, the presentation of various ingredients, and the crispy meat is also freshly fried. It looks much cleaner than ordinary hot pot restaurants.

There are also some leisure and entertainment facilities on the deck, where you can take photos and chat with friends, which is very comfortable. After dark, you can see the night view of Chongqing's Liangjiang River. The Jiangbei Grand Theater is right in front of you, so you don't have to buy a separate boat ticket, which saves you money.

Getting back to the topic, how is Brother Zhou’s hotpot?

First of all, Brother Zhou has three kinds of pot bases, Chongqing’s traditional spicy butter pot base, sour radish clear soup pot base and tomato soup pot base. Friends from Shanghai can’t eat spicy food, so we just Ordered a mandarin duck pot.

The pot base is calculated based on head count. There are 5 of us per person, and we eat the pot base for 49 yuan. Compared with Haidilao’s pot base, Brother Zhou’s pot base is better than I expected. are cheaper.

The flavor of the spicy butter pot base is relatively light and not as exciting as the old Chongqing hot pot base. Even friends from out of town can eat it more easily. The taste of the sour radish clear soup pot is a bit bland, and it tastes tasteless when used for shabu-shabu, but it is more suitable for drinking soup.

After the waiter’s recommendation, we all ordered Brother Zhou’s specialties.

This tripe is 168 yuan, which is Brother Zhou’s most expensive dish. There are only about 10 pieces of tripe in one portion, and one piece of tripe is equivalent to more than 15 yuan, which is too luxurious. Although the price is very expensive, this tripe is not as ordinary as it looks, and it is completely different from what you usually eat in other hot pot restaurants.

First of all, the tripe is very tender and crispy. The waiter said that their tripe is provided by their own slaughterhouse, so it is the freshest every day.

Indeed, there is no fishy smell in your mouth when you eat this tripe. After being blanched, it can only be described as perfect. The taste and texture of the ingredients themselves and the taste of the bottom of the pot are perfectly integrated.

It can only be said that although this tripe is expensive, it is reasonable for it to be expensive.

The duck intestines are 39 yuan per serving, and the portion is quite generous. Even though there is so much ice underneath, the duck intestines wrapped around each other on top are even heavier than many fly restaurants. Combined with its price, the price/performance ratio is on the high side. The duck intestines taste very fresh, smooth and crispy.

Of course, they also have some other dishes, so I won’t introduce them one by one. If you are interested, you can try them yourself. The quality of the dishes is top-notch among hot pot restaurants, and the prices are average, a little more expensive than ordinary hot pot restaurants.

In general, this restaurant opened by Brother Zhou on the cruise ship is more suitable for tourists to eat. The taste is more peaceful and the service is better. At 120 yuan per person, you can eat, have fun and watch at night. Night view, kill two birds with one stone.
