Are toiletries free in the hotel?

My view and practice is that if you pay a high price for a one-time thing in a hotel, the natural ownership is yours. When you leave, you can take it with you or not. It's up to you. It's natural to take it with you. No one will make trouble for you and say you're a chicken. If you don't take it with you, it saves the hotel money. The waiter can take it back and continue to use it. The hotel owner will not send you a letter of praise for your generosity.
