I am the operator of the hotel, and we call it the quick service center, because our operator here is also part of the catering conference reservation and room service center. First of all, it is a very training position: you must memorize how many rooms and rooms there are in the hotel, how many people can be accommodated in the conference room, the price of individual customers and Internet access, the location and characteristics of private rooms for catering, what special dishes are there and the route to the hotel. Then the extension numbers of all hotels, as well as the cell phone numbers of some leaders. The amount of study is very large, so it is a very training position. Disadvantages: our switchboard and the front desk are separated, and the leaders can't see the call transfer. Many leaders think that the switchboard is idle to answer the phone all day, so there is no chance of promotion, or there is little chance of promotion. We work in three shifts, with an average of eight night shifts a month. The night shift is from 23: 00 to 7: 00 the next day, and after 7: 00, I usually go back to sleep for one day. This is not a rest. At present, there are 7 people in our post, 5 people in the switchboard and 2 people in the business center. If you are off duty normally, you can just rest on 1 month 4, and you can't go to work at all on legal holidays.
Generally speaking, the switchboard has no future. Generally speaking, after sitting for a year, everyone who knows something has left.
At present, there are five people in our switchboard, one is pregnant and ready to go home to have a baby, two are ready to take the civil service exam, and one is ready to take the exam by herself. Another child is over one year old and doesn't want to change jobs, so he is content with the status quo.
If you have other options, don't choose the switchboard. If the guests can't see it, you won't learn much about dealing with people.
It is best to choose the front desk or concierge, and there are more opportunities for promotion.
