Tadao Ando's Works

Kyrgyzstan Longwu 1

Time: 1976, location: Osaka Prefecture, Japan

Nagaya in Yosuke, located in an old street in Yosuke, Osaka, Japan, with a building area of about 34 ping, is Tadao Ando's first work and his famous work. The building is all concrete, and there are no windows on the outer wall. The outdoor atrium specially set aside is the core of the whole building, and all human activities are attended by the atrium.

2. Mix Di

Time: 198 1 year, location: Loya City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.

Xiao Xiaodi, located in the national park on the outskirts of Hiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, is one of Ando's representative works. The building consists of two parallel concrete rectangular blocks, and the courtyard in the middle combines various elements and contributes to the lighting of the room.

The wall is made of fair-faced concrete, which deliberately keeps the hole traces of the construction template, and the sunlight will produce rich light and shadow changes on the smooth concrete wall.

3. Church of Water

Time: 1988, location: Hokkaido, Japan

The Church of Water is one of Ando's "Church Trilogy" and one of the characteristic churches of Hoshino Dream Circle. It is located on a flat land in the northeast of Xizhangshan, Hokkaido. The church mainly consists of a pool, a main hall and an L-shaped wall outside.

4. Yan Zhen sent Benfu Temple Water Royal Hall.

Time: 199 1 year, location: Dongpu City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.

Shuiyutang is located on a hill in Awaji Island. The main building material is fair-faced concrete. An oval lotus pond can be seen around the arc wall. There is a narrow hole in the pond between the two stone walls, and the stone steps in the middle lead to the water pond below.

5. Awakening stage

Time: 2000, Location: Awaji City, Japan

Awakening Stage, located on the east bank of Seto Inland Sea in Hyogo Prefecture, is a comprehensive facility integrating hotels, conferences, theaters and greenhouses. 100 terrace garden is arranged in a geometric pattern of 100 diagonal square, where fair-faced concrete, water and light are used incisively and vividly.
