Where is Taishan Tianjie?

Taishan Tianjie is a street leading Tianmen to the east and Bi Xia Temple, with a total length of about one mile and a length of about 100 meter. There are many shops and streets called Beitian Street and Daidingtian Street, forming a unique custom.

A large number of pilgrims went up the mountain and needed accommodation, so Tianjie came into being. It is impossible to prove when Tianjie was formed. However, the large-scale pilgrimage to the mountains began in the Western Han Dynasty, and Tianjie, which serves pilgrims, should keep pace with it. The earliest written records about Tianjie were found in the early years of Northern Song Dynasty, in Yuan You, Song Zhezong (1086- 1093) and Yanzhou government officials. Travel forty miles and stay in a savage lodge. By the middle of the Ming Dynasty, Tianjie began to prosper with the increase of pilgrims. In the period (1567- 1572), Feng said in his book: "If you climb Tianmen, you will be in Pyongyang, and there are more Zen schools in the city" (15972).

Although there are many shops in Tianjie, they are all run by poor mountain people. The house is made of stone and thatched roof, and the room is small and dark. There are only two or three such houses, and some have five or six, which can be called big stores. This situation continued until the 1980s, when Li Jianwu, a famous writer and translator, climbed Mount Tai overnight.

1982, Tianjie was widened and rebuilt on a large scale, and the low straw house was demolished to make Tianjie look brand-new.

Since Tianjie had an inn, the number and scale of the inn has become a barometer of the rise and fall of Mount Tai. There are at most 100 inns in history, generally twenty or thirty, at least three or four. In the early years of the Republic of China, houses were deserted and people fled. In the seventeenth year (1928), the Jin army defended the top of the mountain and suffered greatly.

Tianjie's strokes are very interesting. It is different from the literal strokes of ordinary shops, and it is not a common physical stroke. It is a unique symbol, including a basket, a Taurus, a parrot, a whip, money, a wooden stick, a bell jar and a mine fence. Some symbols are catamarans, such as Shuang Sheng, Shuang Bian, Twin Clubs, Twin Cattle and Twin. Some are lucky in pairs, such as double money shops and double shoes (harmony) shops; Some contain auspicious meanings, such as double promotion and continuous promotion.

Most shop signs are carved with wood, and then painted with colors and patterns, which is exquisite. The inn is named after these signboards, such as Jinniu Tower, Golden Bell Tower, Parrot Tower and Shuang Sheng Tower.

There is no record of when this kind of physical store recruitment started, but according to the memories of local old people, it existed in the late Qing Dynasty and has remained unchanged. Always recruit old shops first, or recruit sapphires first, and then repaint them to attract attention. By the early days of the People's Republic of China, there were 10 old shops in Tianjie, which was called "Top Ten Tianjie" locally. There are two old shops in these ten old shops.

Tianjieyou 19 inn shops belong to Taishan Management Committee, Taishan Tourism Cableway Company, Taiqian Neighborhood Committee, Meteorological Observatory, TV relay station and other units.

In order to protect the hilltop landscape, all buildings are strictly limited in area, so the scale of these shops is not large. Only Magic Hotel, Nantian Hotel, Tianjie Comprehensive Service Company and Xianju Hotel are over 500 square meters, and 1 1 is between 100-200 square meters, and only four of them are 10 square meters.
