Xiamen beer and skittles raiders-eleven travel essentials!

Recently, more than n friends are asking about the strategy to Xiamen, and I am almost a tour guide. Fortunately, Xiamen is really not that big, so I just write a diary for friends in need:

1. When will you go?

In fact, there are reasons to go all year round.

When spring is gone, feel the feeling of early summer in advance and get rid of heavy clothes; Go in summer and feel the coolness of the seaside and the sea; Autumn is gone, the sky is high and the clouds are light, and I feel leisurely and lazy; Go in winter just to avoid the biting cold.

I have been there every season. . . . To tell you the truth, I like Xiamen after October best ~ so if I plan to go to Xiamen on November 1, it should be very comfortable ~ ~

If it's your first time, I suggest you go after 10. 1 and before the end of February. After the National Day, it happens to be the off-season, with cheap air tickets, few tourists, less vicious sun and lower probability of rain. But if you go swimming in the sea at this time, it will be a little cold. If you want to swim, you'd better go swimming in July, August and September.

2. How to get there?

Friends in Shanghai are very simple, Spring Airlines! There are 4-5 flights a day, and there is usually a special ticket for 199 in the off-season. I have seen the cheapest 33 yuan! ! In addition, other airlines also have a lot of discount tickets in the off-season!

It is not recommended to take the train, because it takes 24 hours to drive, and the hard sleeper will go to 320 yuan, which is more expensive than the air ticket. The coastal railway line (the new Shanghai-Shenzhen line) is expected to arrive in Xiamen at the end of 2009. There will be a direct bullet train from Shanghai to Xiamen, which will take about 8 hours.

Self-driving, about 1000 km, about 12 hours on the road. I walked back and forth twice, the road conditions were ok, and the whole line was high-speed. If you drive by car, you'd better drive for half a day, then play in Zhejiang for half a day and sleep for one night before leaving.

3. Geography and transportation in Xiamen

The geographical environment of Xiamen is basically the same as that of Hong Kong. The city center is an island, which is connected with the mainland by three bridges, 1 seawall and 1 tunnel (under construction). This side of the mainland is the original suburb, and now it is a new area. There are some islands scattered around Xiamen Island, Gulangyu Island is one of them, and it is also the closest one to Xiamen Island (about 500 meters), so it is also in the city center. Xiamen Island is smaller than the inner ring of Shanghai, and most of the scenic spots are on the island.

Xiamen's public transport system is particularly developed. There are buses everywhere, so you don't have to change. Boarding is basically 1 yuan. There is no subway on the island, only BRT, which is the rapid transit running on the elevated road. Taxis start in 8 yuan, and each kilometer is in 2 yuan. Recently, there is a fuel surcharge of 1 yuan. Note that it is especially difficult to take a taxi from 5 to 6 pm because they have to change shifts.

Hey, hey, BRT goes straight to Jimei I suggest you feel it. What's even more incredible is that you have taken the BRT card three times. As long as 0.6 yuan reminds me of the Beijing bus card, it is worth looking forward to when 0.4 yuan and Shanghai can introduce more convenient preferential policies.

4. The climate of Xiamen

Xiamen is located on the tropic of cancer, on the west bank of Taiwan Province Strait. It belongs to subtropical maritime climate. The hottest is 35 degrees in summer and the coldest is 7 or 8 degrees in winter. February-May is spring, rainy; June-September is summer, with many typhoons and thunderstorms, and the sun is sinister; 10-1February is autumn, dry and cool; 65438+ October barely belongs to winter, dry and a little cold. Anyway, there is basically no need to wear sweaters in winter.

5. what to play?

-Gulangyu:

1.3 square kilometers of an island. There are several gardens on the island as scenic spots. If you want to collect tickets, it is recommended that all tickets be collected. Sunlight Rock is the commanding height of the whole island, overlooking the whole island. You can also go to Shu Manor, which has a rockery monkey cave and a 44-hole bridge. However, the most worthwhile visit to Gulangyu Island is not the scenic spots, but the whole island is filled with a leisurely atmosphere of petty bourgeoisie. The narrow path is hidden under the dense old banyan tree, and piano sounds are heard from time to time in various ancient garden houses. At dusk, people are coming to the seaside. So many people choose to stay in Gulangyu for two days, stay in a family hotel, watch the sunrise, drink coffee, surf the Internet, visit winding alleys, walk by the sea, and taste various snacks, kungfu tea and food stalls every day. But in fact, there are n family hotels to stay in, and there are also various hotels.

-Take pictures

Every day, dozens of couples take photos around Gulangyu Island ~~ 10. 1 Taking wedding photos or taking photos in Xiamen is also a good tourist project.

-"Shiwan, Nanputuo, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach and Huandao Road"

Several places in quotation marks are connected together and can be arranged on the same route. Shiwan, also known as Botanical Garden, has many super-large stones and many tropical plants. In the morning, going to the mountains to breathe fresh air, climbing mountains to exercise and making tea at tea people's homes are leisure activities that many Xiamen people love to do. There is an exit behind Nanputuo, a thousand-year-old temple. If you go in to burn incense or visit, the ticket is only 3 yuan. The vegetarian cakes in Nanputuo are very famous. You can bring some. The temple is the main entrance of Xiamen University and is worth visiting. After all, it is known as the most beautiful university in China. After coming out of Baishi school gate, it is directly Baicheng Beach. There is also a scenic spot called Fort Hu Lishan, but it is not interesting. Starting from Baicheng Beach, there is a colorful road around the island. There are beaches and palm trees all the way, riding cooperative bicycles, blowing sea breeze and singing, hehe. If you are tired, you can find a place to drink tea or eat something at a food stall. Recommend big banyan trees and basketball courts, which are more famous and less murderous. It's easy to recognize, one is under the big banyan tree by the roadside, and the other is on the basketball court by the roadside.

-Riyuegu Hot Spring (this Shanghai friend loves it)

There is a hotel and a big hot spring garden. There is a hot spring pool in the hotel room and more than 60 kinds of fancy hot springs in the garden. It can be said that you have all the raw materials you can think of. . . There are also value-added services such as spa and catering. Sun Moon Valley is a little far from downtown, but they have shuttle buses to Ferry and SM Square. Take a taxi from the ferry to 70 yuan.

Now there is another Cuifeng hot spring, which is newly opened, cheaper, but farther away.

Other scenic spots in Xiamen Island, such as Hongshan Park, Huxi Cave, Bailuzhou and Jinbang Mountain, are free of charge.

-Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street is similar to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street in Shanghai.

But its charm lies in its twists and turns, and it often gets lost. Buses can pass freely on the pedestrian street. In addition, careful observation of classmates will find that there are many shots of Zhongshan Road in the plot of crazy racing. Someone also asked me how shabby Xiamen is. Haha, it's probably the shooting technique. In fact, Zhongshan Road is a very busy street, and Gulangyu and Zhongshan Road are connected. There is the highest Pizza Hut on Zhongshan Road, and interested students can feel it.

-Jimei,

Nice name, off the island, the cemetery of patriotic overseas Chinese Chen Jiageng and the place where he lived before his death. The tour group must, but there is nothing to see.

-Dawa Island

Taiwan Province duty-free commodity distribution center.

-Take a boat trip to Kinmen

This is a feature, that is, take a boat near Xiaojinmen and see Xiaojinmen Island on the sea. Actually, it's not interesting.

-Battlefield trip

Is to experience the military camps on several frontline islands used against Taiwan Province Province in the early days of liberation. It's still quite interesting.

-There are Brahma Temple, Garden Expo Park and Yuan Hua Film and Television Base outside Xiamen Island, which are not recommended.

6. How long will you stay?

If it is the first time, it will take about 3 days. But Xiamen and Hangzhou belong to the same type of place, which is a lazy place. I don't want to stay a few more days.

7. What to eat?

Of course, going to Xiamen is to eat seafood, and eating seafood is of course a food stall. Because fresh seafood is delicious, there is no need for special seasoning processing. The things and practices of food stalls are not much different from those of big hotels. Recommend several food stalls: Dongyu Seafood Street in Haicang District, where there are many food stalls; Big banyan tree, basketball court, Achuan, etc. On the way around the island; Shapo tail drum (there are also many stalls on the side); Kaiyuan Road near Ferry 14 1 Partner; Xidi's food stall is a street; Guanyin mountain food stall is a street; An ai in the west gate of the park; Small glasses in Hubin Middle Road and so on. If you really have money, go to the book club, Kerry, Kowloon Tong and Lei Yue Mun around the island. These restaurants have a good environment and face the beach.

Of course, there are also many snacks in Xiamen, Xiamen food map (please see my reply)

8. What should I bring?

Remember to bring sunscreen, hat, parasol and camera before you go. Xiamen has a low dimension and strong radiation, so it is easy to get tanned. Sandals or slippers are necessary, otherwise how can we get to the seaside?

You can bring some dry seafood when you come back, and you can recognize a Pizza Hut at the intersection of Xiaxi Market on Zhongshan Road. Jinxiang (Huang Shengji) meat floss on Gulangyu Island; Wang Ji School or Gulangyu School (there are N brands, don't make a mistake); Mickey Mouse (Tangyuan) in Huangze River; Nanputuo vegetarian cake; Tieguanyin tea; All kinds of shell ornaments (many are fake shells, hehe). And my favorite big world ice olive juice (people who like its taste will definitely like it).

Several food stalls are highly recommended here: small glasses in the city center, and banyan trees on the roundabout road next to Daguxia University in Shapowei.

Hot springs:

Cuifeng Hot Spring Resort Hotel (newly opened)

Riyuegu Hot Spring Resort (a must-see)

If it's a three-day trip:

The next day: go to the hot springs.

Day 3: Stroll around Zhongshan Road and Huandao Road. It must be a great gain to stroll around.

If the trip is more than three days:

I suggest you stay in Gulangyu for 1-2 days. There are houses, streets, beaches, the sea, melodious piano sounds, unique family hotels, distinctive snacks and food stalls. It's especially beautiful there. It's really relaxing, Xiaozi.

Or go to the surrounding Jimei Tulou (it is enough to go back that day) and so on.
