1. When will you go?

I have been there every season. . . . To tell you the truth, I like Xiamen after October best ~ so if I plan to go to Xiamen on November 1, it should be very comfortable ~ ~

If it's your first time, I suggest you go after 10. 1 and before the end of February. After the National Day, it happens to be the off-season, with cheap air tickets, few tourists, less vicious sun and lower probability of rain. But if you go swimming in the sea at this time, it will be a little cold. If you want to swim, you'd better go swimming in July, August and September.

2. How to get there?

Friends in Shanghai are very simple, Spring Airlines! There are 4-5 flights a day, and there is usually a special ticket for 199 in the off-season. I have seen the cheapest 33 yuan! ! In addition, other airlines also have a lot of discount tickets in the off-season!

It is not recommended to take the train, because it takes 24 hours to drive, and the hard sleeper will go to 320 yuan, which is more expensive than the air ticket. The coastal railway line (the new Shanghai-Shenzhen line) is expected to arrive in Xiamen at the end of 2009. There will be a direct bullet train from Shanghai to Xiamen, which will take about 8 hours.

Self-driving, about 1000 km, about 12 hours on the road. I walked back and forth twice, the road conditions were ok, and the whole line was high-speed. If you drive by car, you'd better drive for half a day, then play in Zhejiang for half a day and sleep for one night before leaving.

3. Geography and transportation in Xiamen

The geographical environment of Xiamen is basically the same as that of Hong Kong. The city center is an island, which is connected with the mainland by three bridges, 1 seawall and 1 tunnel (under construction). This side of the mainland is the original suburb, and now it is a new area. There are some islands scattered around Xiamen Island, Gulangyu Island is one of them, and it is also the closest one to Xiamen Island (about 500 meters), so it is also in the city center. Xiamen Island is smaller than the inner ring of Shanghai, and most of the scenic spots are on the island.

Xiamen's public transport system is particularly developed. There are buses everywhere, so you don't have to change. Boarding is basically 1 yuan. There is no subway on the island, only BRT, which is the rapid transit running on the elevated road. Taxis start in 8 yuan, and each kilometer is in 2 yuan. Recently, there is a fuel surcharge of 1 yuan. Note that it is especially difficult to take a taxi from 5 to 6 pm because they have to change shifts.

4. The climate of Xiamen

Xiamen is located on the tropic of cancer, on the west bank of Taiwan Province Strait. It belongs to subtropical maritime climate. So many people choose to stay in Gulangyu for two days, stay in a family hotel, watch the sunrise, drink coffee, surf the Internet, visit winding alleys, walk by the sea, and taste various snacks, kungfu tea and food stalls every day. But in fact, there are n family hotels to stay in, and there are also various hotels.

If you are tired, you can find a place to drink tea or eat something at a food stall. Recommend big banyan trees and basketball courts, which are more famous and less murderous. It's easy to recognize, one is under the big banyan tree by the roadside, and the other is on the basketball court by the roadside.

-Riyuegu Hot Spring (this Shanghai friend loves it)

There is a hotel and a big hot spring garden. There is a hot spring pool in the hotel room and more than 60 kinds of fancy hot springs in the garden. It can be said that you have all the raw materials you can think of. . . There are also value-added services such as spa and catering. Sun Moon Valley is a little far from downtown, but they have shuttle buses to Ferry and SM Square. Take a taxi from the ferry to 70 yuan.

Now there is another Cuifeng hot spring, which is newly opened, cheaper, but farther away.

Other scenic spots in Xiamen Island, such as Hongshan Park, Huxi Cave, Bailuzhou and Jinbang Mountain, are free of charge.

-Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street is similar to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street in Shanghai.

But its charm lies in its twists and turns, and it often gets lost. Buses can pass freely on the pedestrian street. 6. How long will you stay?

If it is the first time, it will take about 3 days. But Xiamen and Hangzhou belong to the same type of place, which is a lazy place. I don't want to stay a few more days.

7. What to eat?

Of course, going to Xiamen is to eat seafood, and eating seafood is of course a food stall. Because fresh seafood is delicious, there is no need for special seasoning processing. The things and practices of food stalls are not much different from those of big hotels. Recommend several food stalls: Dongyu Seafood Street in Haicang District, where there are many food stalls; Big banyan tree, basketball court, Achuan, etc. On the way around the island; Shapo tail drum (there are also many stalls on the side); Kaiyuan Road near Ferry 14 1 Partner; Xidi's food stall is a street; Guanyin mountain food stall is a street; An ai in the west gate of the park; Small glasses in Hubin Middle Road and so on.
