Hotel courtyard
Beijing Huajiantang Houhai was built by internationally renowned design studio MinistryofDesign(MOD) from Singapore.
The design was inspired by Houhai Lake and the animals living around it.
In the yard, if you look closely, you will find that many modern artworks are inspired by small animals living in Hu Hai in the future. The deer leisurely reading the newspaper on the balcony, the fox taking selfies in the garden, and the rabbit carrying luggage on the roof … inadvertently added a vitality to the hotel.
This hotel has 80 rooms. Designers divide each space with colors and materials, and connect the areas in series with animal installation art distributed in rooms and public areas. Travelers can feel the amazing interest and deja vu brought by space from the moment they enter the hotel. In the room, the long and slow jazz melody, thick carpet, soft warm yellow lights and faint graphite flowers help guests unload the fatigue of the journey from the five senses of sound, color, taste and touch.
The hotel is named after Hutong, the representative street of old Beijing, which makes the characteristics of old Beijing in this area more prominent.
When you open the curtains, you will see the small scenery outside the window: some face the lively Houhai Park, some are hidden in deep hutongs, and some combine the Houhai Lake view to create a private courtyard space. ...
Modern public areas such as Pink Rabbit Restaurant, Moon Bar, Fab Coffee Baking Shop, Gym, Meeting Room and Cigar Bar in the courtyard meet the convenience of hotel life.
FAB Coffee Bakery and Pink Rabbit Restaurant are affiliated to Zhu Hua Group's Beijing Huajiantang Houhai Hotel. FAB Coffee Bakery is in front of the hotel, facing the hutong. The food is not only ordered by guests, but also by individual guests. The pink rabbit restaurant located in the hotel courtyard mainly serves Spanish cuisine. Tall space, bare metal frame, open kitchen and colorful sofa seats provide a more comfortable dining environment for gourmets. In the evening, the oversized terrace on the second floor of the restaurant and the phantom of the massage pool provide excellent gathering places for many cocktail parties, elegant dinners and fashion parties in Beijing.
In order to better reflect the contrast between the old and the new, the traditional and the modern, the designers used many subtle juxtapositions to create a harmonious and different habitat for travelers: the traditional cornices in China are decorated with characteristic vertebrates; Comparison between sculpture balcony and traditional window lattice: the visual impact of charcoal gray architecture and gold lacquer "cataloging" and the mutual compensation of exaggerated bathing space and quiet sleeping space in guest rooms ... Every comparison and combination is a new attempt to gradually modernize traditional culture and a new charm of Beijing city from the perspective of flowers.
The facade of the hotel is small, and a row of charcoal-gray buildings with a strong sense of science and technology are hidden in this place that tourists seldom pay attention to. Among them, seven small buildings from 1950s were left, forming a square courtyard with a spacious garden in the middle. The reception desk was decorated with chandeliers, which was more modern and fashionable. Through the cloister, a gray brick drywall connects the lobby and the front desk, which seems to be a string of Beijing's past and present. This urban residence with old dreams and new faces is telling the past and present of Beijing at its own pace.
Beijing Huajiantang Houhai is not only the first stop of Huajiantang in Beijing, but also a new attempt to open a city hotel in Huajiantang. Here, people expect Huajiantang not only to provide a temporary foothold for travelers, but also a new challenge to the "homogeneous" life of modern cities. Family-style service, characteristic flower route, innovative play, and every design detail bring a Huajiantang understanding of life. I hope this "village in the city" located in the city center can infect every traveler who comes to the greenhouse, let go of fatigue and enjoy the joy here.
