Tin Shui Wai is located in the northwest of Yuen Long District, New Territories, Hong Kong. Surrounded by Shajiangwei, Feng Jiawei, Wangjing Village, Xiawei New Village and other villages belonging to Pingshan Township Committee. It is about 25 kilometers away from the central city. Tin Shui Wai was originally a walled village in Yuen Long. Like Nanshengwei, the surrounding area is a big fish pond (base). 1At the end of 1970, Tin Shui Wai Development Co., Ltd., headed by Changjiang Industry, acquired the land assets of Tin Shui Wai and planned to develop Tin Shui Wai into a new town by itself. From 65438 to the early 1980s, the British Hong Kong government intended to develop new towns to cope with population growth. 1982, the hong kong government reached an agreement with cheung kong industries. the British hong kong government announced the acquisition of all the land in tin shui wai, and the British hong kong government changed to develop the new town of tin shui wai, which is one of the developed towns. 1At the end of 1980, the British Hong Kong government started the development of the new town in Tin Shui Wai. The surrounding fish ponds have been filled in and developed into a new town with houses as the main part. 1992, Tianyao Village, the first public housing village in Tin Shui Wai; Then Tianrui Village was completed on 1993. During the seven years from 199 1 to 1998, the properties of Jiahu Mountain Villa developed by Changjiang Industry have been moved in one after another. In the early days, Lejuju and Tianyao Village were the central areas of Tin Shui Wai. With the opening of 1999 Haiyi kingswood ginza and Jiahu, Tin Shui Wai Park and kingswood ginza have become the centers of new towns. 1998 In the first half of the year, the Tai Lam Tunnel was officially opened to traffic. Since then, residents in Tin Shui Wai do not have to rely on Tuen Mun Highway or Tate's Cairn Tunnel to travel to and from the urban area. In addition, the development of the southern part of Tin Shui Wai has been basically completed, and now it has become a very prosperous community. The development of Tin Shui Wai North began at 1998. As Tung Chee-hwa, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, put forward the policy of building 85,000 flats a year in the policy address, the height and density of public housing buildings in the north of Tin Shui Wai are much higher than those in the south. Tin Chung Court and Tianhua Village were occupied on 1999. The next few years will be the peak period for the occupation of the North House in Tin Shui Wai. The population has increased dramatically. In 200 1 year, the population of this area has reached 270,000. At the beginning of 2003, during the outbreak of SARS in Hong Kong, four buildings in Tianen Village were used as temporary dormitories for medical staff by the Hong Kong government. In 2004, it was transformed from transit housing to public housing. The extension of the Kowloon-Canton Railway (now called the West Line of Metro) and the Kowloon-Canton Light Rail (now called the Light Rail) were opened to traffic at the end of 2003. The external traffic in Tin Shui Wai has been greatly improved. In 2006, the Hong Kong Wetland Park, located in the northeast of the new town of Tin Shui Wai, was officially opened, adding a new tourist attraction to the area. Tin Shui Wai, located on the south bank of Deep Bay, is a part of Yuen Long Plain. To the northeast of Tin Shui Wai is Mai Po Wetland. On the other side of Deep Bay are the bustling Futian District and Nanshan District of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, and the distance between the two sides of the Bay is less than 10 km. Because Mai Po is a nature reserve and the bay coast has not been developed, the scenery is very beautiful. Tin Shui Wai is surrounded by suburbs. There are Pingshan and Kengwei villages in the south. There are Wang Jingwei and Liu Fushan in the north. There are Xiamen Village and Dongtou Village in the west. Feng Jiawei and Xiawei New Village are in the east. There is also a newly developed urban area near Tin Shui Wai. There is Yuen Long New Town in the southeast and Hongshuiqiao New Town in the southwest. Coupled with the new town of Tuen Mun in the south, the northwest New Territories is now undergoing rapid urbanization.
