2. Meiligeng Scenic Area

brief introduction

Meiligen (meaning "intelligence" in Mongolian) is a natural ecological scenic spot, located at the southern foot of Wula Mountain in the yinshan mountains, 30 kilometers west of Baotou, with Jiuqu Yellow River in the south and Bayannur League in the west. This is a natural scenic spot, dominated by countless huge spherical granite mountains, waterfalls and plant landscapes. There are fantastic canyons in the scenic area, such as Meiligen Gully, Shibaoketu Gully and Xigou. 3. Qin Changcheng Site

brief introduction

In Baotou, besides the Great Wall built by the earlier King Wuling of Zhao, there is also a relatively complete Qin Changcheng. In 2 15 BC, Meng Tian, the general sent by Qin Shihuang, led 300,000 troops to attack the Xiongnu in the north and took the land of Henan. In order to prevent the invasion of northern nomads, the Great Wall of Wan Li was built from Shanni County, Gansu Province in the west to Liaodong County, Liaoning Province in the east. After extending from Ningxia to Inner Mongolia, from Langshan to the east, it passes through Xidoupu, Yin Hao and Damiao Township in the north of Guyang County. Qin Changcheng started in Min County, and there are a lot of relics and sites as evidence. First, Min County has a large number of Qin coins. In the city of Min County, there are many Qin tiles in the Yejiaya cultural accumulation layer (now in the courtyard of Min County). Third, there are a large number of artificial trenches left in the northern mountainous area of Minxian County. Zhuoping Trench is located in the northwest of Zhuoping County, about 40 kilometers away from the county seat. The moat consists of two parts. 5. Jiufengshan Nature Reserve
