Tonga has rich fishery resources and basically no mineral resources on land. Tangshan has a vast sea area and rich fishery resources, mainly exporting tuna. In recent years, due to climate reasons and overfishing, fish resources have continued to decrease, coupled with increasing transportation costs, exports of major fishery products such as tuna have declined, and development has been lower than expected. The output value of fisheries accounts for about 3% of Tonga’s GDP.
