Two days is a short time. Based on my personal experience, I suggest Wuchang and Hankou have one day each.

Day 1: (Hankou) If you arrived the night before, you can go directly to the Red House and the Yellow Crane Tower the next morning, both together. In the afternoon, you can try some special snacks in Wuhan, that is, go to Hubu Lane. At night, you can go out from the back of Hubu Lane and go directly to the Yangtze River Bridge. You can enjoy the night view of the Yangtze River on the shore, or you can take a ferry and blow the river wind. The price is quite cheap, a few dollars per person.

The next day: (Wuchang) If you are a little interested in Hubei culture, you can go to the museum, and then follow a road next to the museum to Tingtao District, so you can visit the East Lake. The scenery here is really good. My boyfriend and I often go there. Then you can take a boat to Moshan in East Lake, and then go to Moshan, Meiyuan and Botanical Garden.

As for the place to live, if it is safe and comfortable and the price is right, it is recommended to go to an economy hotel, such as Home Inn, for 7 days. By the way, there is a hotel near Wuda University, next to the Surveying and Mapping Institute, and there is a Sakura Garden Hotel opposite, which is not bad, and the price is more than 100.

Hehe, personal opinion. I wish you a happy May Day in Wu Hanyou!
