Is Urumqi in the direction of Wuhan?

Urumqi is in the (western) direction of Wuhan.

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province, the central city in Central China, the largest city in Central China and the only sub-provincial city. Located in the middle of China, east of Jianghan Plain, where the Yangtze River meets the Han River. The Yangtze River, the third largest river in the world, and its largest tributary Hanshui meet in the city center, dividing Wuhan into three parts, forming a pattern of Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang separated by a river. There are 7 central urban areas and 6 remote urban areas under the jurisdiction of Wuhan, with rivers criss-crossing, lakes and harbors interwoven, hundreds of mountains and rivers, and lakes 166, accounting for a quarter of the city's total area, forming a unique riverside and lakeside water ecological environment. Li Bai once wrote the poem "The Jade Emperor blows the Yellow Crane Tower, and plum blossoms fall into the river in May", so Wuhan has been called the river city since ancient times.

Urumqi is the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in People's Republic of China (PRC), located in the middle of Xinjiang, at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain. Urumqi was called Dihua in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, which means "educating" the border people. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the policy of discriminating against ethnic minorities was abolished and renamed as 1954.
