Basic introduction of Yan Xi Pavilion

Yan Xi Pavilion is a famous tourist destination of Qingyuan cultural landscape.

Yan Xi Pavilion, which is famous for Han Yu's masterpiece Yan Xi Pavilion, is located in the beautiful foothills of Yan Xi (where lianzhou middle school is located) in the northeast of Lianzhou City. Yanxi Pavilion was built by Wang Hongzhong, the secretariat of Lianzhou who joined the army in Zhenyuan period of Tang Dynasty (around 800 AD), with a history of 1200 years. For thousands of years, there have been an endless stream of literati here, which is a prestigious tourist attraction. Poets Jie Yuan, Liu Yuxi and Meng Jiao in the Tang Dynasty, philosophers and writers Zhou Dunyi in the Song Dynasty, and prime minister Zhang Jun in the Southern Song Dynasty all came here and left stone carvings and inscriptions on the rock walls around the pavilion.

Wang Hongzhong, who built this pavilion, was renamed Wang Zhongshu. In the 13th year of Zhenyuan (AD 797), he was demoted as the minister of Lianzhou rites. In October of the 19th year of Zhenyuan, Han Yu, the supervisor of the state, was demoted to Yangshan County Order, which belonged to Lianzhou County. Han Yu came to visit the pavilion, went to Xing Chu, wrote down "Yan Xi Ting Ji" and named the pavilion "Yan Xi", which means "Marquis of Yan Lu likes to praise the person he likes". However, behind the pavilion, there are big stones flying low like swallows. Even if spring comes, Yan Qun plays in the pavilion. Yan Xiting's dragon eaves and wings, carved beams and painted columns, as well as the vigorous ancient monuments in the pavilion, form a picturesque beauty with the surrounding green trees and steep rocks, and the poems of celebrities have been passed down through the ages in this beauty. Yanxi Pavilion was built in Zhenyuan period of Tang Dynasty, with a history of 1200 years. There is a "Yan Xi Pavilion" tablet inscribed by Han Yu in the pavilion.
