There is a building in Sanlitun with a huge golden monkey on the outer wall

The Opposite House Hotel, Building 1, No. 11, Sanlitun Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing.

To celebrate Beijing International Design Week and National Day Golden Week, The Opposite House teamed up with famous Australian artist Lisa Roet to hang a giant inflatable golden monkey sculpture in the busy and bustling Sanlitun Art and Commercial District. From September 22 to October 30, this 14-meter-tall “golden monkey” will climb 30 meters above the ground on the iconic green geometric exterior wall of the Opposite House, as if King Kong has climbed up the hotel to overlook passers-by. The sculpture is called "Golden Monkey" and its prototype is taken from the Burmese golden monkey. They grow in the deep mountain forests on the China-Myanmar border. However, due to large-scale population growth, logging and poaching, the number of existing species in the world is only 400, and they are on the verge of extinction. It belongs to a subspecies of China's famous golden monkey. The prototype of Monkey King, the Monkey King in "Journey to the West" is taken from the golden monkey.
