I am located in the south of the county, east of Huaiji County. Water Town is adjacent to Zhongzhou Town in Huaiji County to the south, Shangshuai Town and Xiashuai Zhuang and Yao Township in Huaiji County to the west, Futang Town and Baimang Town of Damaishan Town in Liannan Yao Autonomous County to the north, with a total area of ??305 square kilometers, including cultivated land. Provincial Highway 263 runs through the town from south to north. Xiaosanjiangwei, where the town government is located, is 50 kilometers away from the county towns of Jitian Town and Huaiji County. All village committee sites are connected by cement roads.

Why is it called "Xiao Sanjiang"?

Xiaosanjiang is called Sanjiangdong because of the confluence of Shengdongshui, Ganbaoshui and Wenjiashui in the town. In the early years of the Republic of China, the name "Sanjiangwei" appeared.

In 1953, after it was merged into Liannan, it was renamed Xiaosanjiang to avoid confusion with Liannan Sanjiang.

In 1955, the fourth district was renamed Xiaosanjiang District (including Jiatian and Shangshuai), which was initially used as the name of the administrative region. Since then, it has been withdrawn and merged many times.

In October 1960, Xiaosanjiang Commune was established. In 1983, it was renamed Xiaosanjiang District (excluding Jiatian and Shangshuai).

In 1986, it was changed to Xiaosanjiang Town. In December 2003, Jiatin Town was merged into Xiaosanjiang Town.

In 2004, it was listed as a provincial central town.

In 2005, the town governed 132 villager groups in 9 administrative villages: Sanlian, Tianxin, Sancai, Luming, Shengdong, Gaping, Zhonghe, Gaoming, and Dengyang, with a total population of 19,790 (2018 ), of which Zhuang and Yao people account for 92%.
