There is a pearl spring in the south of the temple, connected to the "Three Tides Holy Water" in the north, sitting west to east, overlooking the Mantis River and overlooking the "Best Soup in the World". Caoxi Temple was built in the period of Dali Kingdom in Song Dynasty. The existing buildings in the temple include Daxiong Hall, Houdian Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, etc. Caoxi Temple is an ancient temple with the architectural style of Song Dynasty. This is the impression of architect Liang Sicheng when he visited the temple in the early1940s. In front of the main hall of the temple, there are "Three Saints of the West" (sitting between Amitabha and Guanyin, threatened by two bodhisattvas), and behind the wall, there are wood carvings of "Three Saints of Huayan" (sitting between Sakyamuni, Manjusri and Pu Xian), which were identified by Zhou Shujia 1956, vice president of the National Buddhist Association, as relics of the Song Dynasty. Based on this, it can be concluded that the temple was built in Dali Kingdom in Song Dynasty. There is no mention of the early situation of Caoxi Temple in the literature. In the 12th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1533), after the temple was restored, Master Wu Ye Daocheng asked Yang Shen, who stayed in the temple, to write The Record of Rebuilding Caoxi Temple (the tablet is now in the back hall). Yang pointed out that this temple is the Dojo of Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, which is in the same strain as Cao Xixi's metaphor of "Liu Fa" in Huineng's residence. Then he introduced that there is Koizumi near the temple (later generations used to call him "holy water"), and the flow is particularly large, three times a day ("tide"). Later generations dug pools under the spring to store water. According to legend, the "spring god" (toad) also appeared in the pool at high tide. In Caoxi Temple, there are sandalwood and plum trees planted in Yuan Dynasty. In summer and autumn, ancient trees are in full bloom, which adds a lot of color to the ancient temple. Epiphyllum, which usually blooms in summer evening, will die in an hour or so, so it is not easy to see.

Wang Ren Qiusuo Monument was built in Dashizhuang, Anning County in the first year of the Tang Dynasty (AD 698), nearly 1300 years ago. The monument is about 2.8 1 m high and about 1.5 m wide. There are 34 lines with 53 words each, and the inscription is 10. The inscription and forehead are true. Wang Renqiu was originally named, but when the monument was erected, Wu Zetian proclaimed himself emperor and changed the name of the country to Zhou, so the inscription was entitled "The Secretariat of Hedong County in Dazhou". This monument was not recorded before the Qing Dynasty. During the Qianlong period, Wang Chang, a epigraphist, came to Yunnan to read the local chronicles and learned that Ren Qiu, the secretariat of the Tang Dynasty, was looking for a tomb in a peaceful and lush mountain. The tomb was abandoned for a long time, but the monument still exists. Ask someone to make up for it, and it will be included in Volume 62 of Jin Bian. Since then, it has spread widely. The inscription was written by Lu Qiujun in Chengdu, and Wang Ren asked his eldest son Wang Shanbao for a book. Lu Qiu was a famous scholar in the early Tang Dynasty, and Du Fu had a close relationship with him when he was in Chengdu. Du Fu also strongly praised his writing style and pen and ink: "Lu Qiu's calligraphy is passed down from generation to generation, which is extremely superior to Kunlun." This man, Lu Qiujun, often writes inscriptions, and he does well. "Green Xue Ying Ridge East, the stone tablet is old." (Du Gongbu Collection (volume 14) "To Brother Lu Qiu, a monk in the middle of Shu") asks for a stone tablet from the king, and its words are magnificent and beautiful, which is consistent with Du Fu's evaluation of him. In the inscription of 1600 words, Lu Qiu described Wang Renqiu's family background, talent and achievements in detail. Its main points are: Wang Renqiu, a native of Anning County, was born in an official's family, with little intelligence. He learned literature and martial arts and was good at it. "He has the ability to manage things, and he likes to protect the border people." Later, he served as the secretariat of Hedong Prefecture. With the support of the army, he can take advantage of Shui Ze's advantages and pay attention to developing production.
