2. Architectural features

The ancient street is completely in the style of ancient architecture. It is built according to the concept of "the lane runs through the city, the water melts into the street, and the building is heavy", which integrates the ancient culture of Nanxi with the water culture. It not only embodies the characteristics of Bashu traditional folk houses in western Sichuan and southern Sichuan, but also perfectly integrates the traditional architectural elements in various places, such as arcade, patio, horse head wall, etc., and shows the architectural style from Ming and Qing Dynasties to the Republic of China, achieving the goal of "thousands of buildings and thousands of faces" and having the bearing of China traditional folk house architects.

3. Landscape features

The ancient street takes Guixi River as the main axis of landscape and the central square of section B as the core. Eight Little Square along the street become landscape nodes. Area A mainly shows the echo relationship between the scenery of Guixi River bend and bridge buildings; Area B mainly displays the interactive experience of people flow in the square, river wharf and stage; Area C is mainly characterized by pavilions, covered bridges and other interesting features on both sides of the river.
