Jiang Shen Hotel
Zhouzhuang Town is located in Kunshan City, 38 kilometers southeast of Suzhou City, with a history of more than 900 years. It has rich cultural connotations. Zhang, a writer in the Western Jin Dynasty, Liu Yuxi and Lu Guimeng, poets in the Tang Dynasty, all lived in Zhouzhuang. Zhouzhuang was also a giant in the south of the Yangtze River in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty.
Shen Wansan's hometown is very rich. At that time, Zhu Yuanzhang was so rich and drooling. He personally funded the restoration of one third of the Ming wall in Nanjing. Shen Wansan has many industries in various places, but he has always been based on Zhouzhuang. Liu Yazi, Chen Qubing and others also left footprints in Zhouzhuang. Zhouzhuang Town has been Zeguo since ancient times. The north-south Chenghe River, Hougang River, Youche Yanghe River and Zhongshi River form a "well" shape. Because the river has become a street and the houses are built by the water, it presents an ancient and quiet elegance, which is a typical "small bridge with flowing water" in Jiangnan.
Small bridges and flowing water are the characteristics of water towns. Almost every family in the water town has its own wharf. Zhouzhuang, a water town, has a characteristic building of "the car enters from the front door and the boat passes through the home". The quiet night in the water town has a special taste. Because water towns are surrounded by small rivers, only by high arch bridges can you enter the town. So far, it is impossible to take a motor vehicle in the town, and the motorcycles of the residents in the town can only be pushed across the bridge into the town, so every evening, the water town is always very quiet.
Zhouzhuang's Flavor Cuisine Zhouzhuang has many special snacks, among which Shen Wansan's favorite elbow and pig's trotters are the most distinctive. Originated from Shen Wansan's family in Ming Dynasty, it is a necessary dish for entertaining distinguished guests. The local name is ten thousand three cubits and ten thousand three hooves. The practice is to use a big casserole, and after a day and a night of simmering, the temperature is very particular, and several pieces should be simmered. Cook it properly. If it is too bad, it will be fragile and destroy its original shape. After simmering, the skin color sauce is red and the whole hoof remains intact. When eating, use thin bones in hooves instead of knives. They are sold in local restaurants, and local residents also eat 3,000 hooves during festivals. It is said that the most authentic local Wansan hoof is "the product of Wansan Food Company", so it is best to find this company before buying it. Other specialties include Wansan cake, cucumber, shrimp, Sanweiyuan and local fresh water. There is also an aquatic plant water shield in Zhouzhuang, which is used to make soup. It's delicious. Hans Zhang, a writer in the Western Jin Dynasty, refers to the "water shield bass soup" made of water shield and bass.
The charm of Zhouzhuang lies in its cultural implication. Shenting, Zhangting, mysterious architecture, former residence, Taoist temple, Quanfu Temple and other places of interest have high historical, cultural and ornamental value. Where there are rivers and streets, there must be bridges. There are many ancient bridges in Zhouzhuang, which are very distinctive. The famous ones are Shuangqiao and Fuan Bridge.
Bridges and streets in the town are connected, houses are built by the river, boats are swaying and green shadows are dancing. Visitors who advocate returning to simplicity can't help chanting: Wu depends on Wu, and Wu Zhongzhou is good at going abroad.
In 2003, Zhouzhuang was awarded the "Cultural Heritage Protection Award" by the Asia-Pacific Department of UNESCO, and was awarded the title of the first batch of "Famous Historical and Cultural Towns" in China in the same year.
