Where did China’s first five-star hotel appear?
China’s first five-star hotel appeared in Guangzhou, the White Swan Hotel.
Opened in 1982, the 28-story building is located at No. 1, Shamian South Street, Liwan District, Guangzhou. The White Swan Hotel is the first Chinese member of the "World Class Hotels Organization" and is today a leader in luxury hotels in Guangzhou. It stands on the historic Shamian Island on the banks of the Pearl River.
China's first platinum five-star hotel still appears in Guangzhou, Guangzhou Garden Hotel.
Opened in January 1984, the building is 30 stories high. Located in the central business district of Guangzhou, covering an area of ??48,000 square meters, it is the only "Platinum Five-Star" hotel rated the highest level in the hotel industry in South China. It is also the headquarters hotel of the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games.
The two hotels have cultivated the first batch of five-star hotel management elites in China.
