Do local hotels and restaurants in Nepal need tips?

Influenced by the western lifestyle, Nepal has now become a tipping country, and restaurants for tourists accept tips. In cheap restaurants, you don't ask for change, you just have to pay a small tip (5%). But when dining in a more expensive restaurant, the tip is about 10%.
