Brief Introduction of Tongguling International Eco-tourism Zone

Tongguling International Eco-tourism Zone is located in Longlou Town, the eastern coastal area of Wenchang City, Hainan Province, and belongs to the easternmost part of Hainan Island. It is adjacent to the South China Sea in the southeast, the satellite launch base in the west and the Puqian tourist area in the north. The planned total area is about 86 square kilometers and the coastline is about 30 kilometers long, including Tongguling National Nature Reserve (including Stone Park and Qishuiwan), Moon Bay and Ling Bao River. The tourist area has rare tropical natural landscapes such as tropical monsoon dwarf forest, coral reef and mangrove forest in China. The planned land area of the tourist area is 46 square kilometers, which will complement Wenchang Space City and form a famous domestic base for tourism, leisure, sightseeing and popular science education. According to the plan, the tourist area will be built into an internationally renowned and domestic first-class ecological coastal tourist area integrating tourism, leisure and vacation. This project has been listed as a key project in the 11th Five-Year Plan of Hainan Province.

The area is divided into eight groups: Tongguling National Nature Reserve, Qishuiwan Coastal Resort, Moon Bay Coastal Resort, Ling Bao River Public Center, Longlou Tourism Town, Coastal Ecological Protection Zone and Peripheral Ecological Control Zone, which are concentrated in cultural and sports parks, five-star hotels, yacht clubs, high-grade houses, ecological parks, beaches, stone parks, landscape avenues and the longest coastal landscape pedestrian corridor in China. It is reported that the project is planned by Luneng Group and Hualong Group as a whole.
