What are the scenic spots in Jishou tourism?

Jishou, the capital of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, is a county-level city in Hunan Province. The city borders luxi county in the southeast, Huayuan County in the northwest, Fenghuang County in the southwest and Baojing County and Guzhang County in the north. Jishou is located in the hinterland of Wuling Mountain, backed by Wuling Mountain, and has a typical subtropical monsoon humid climate.

Fenghuang Ancient City, called "the most beautiful town in China" by New Zealand writer rewi alley, is located in the southwest of Xiangxi, Hunan. It is a gathering place of ethnic minorities, mainly Miao and Tujia, 430 kilometers away from Changsha, the provincial capital, and about 40 kilometers away from Jishou, the nearest city.

The ancient city was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and is famous for Shen Congwen's novel Border Town. Qingshiban Street in the city, the diaojiao building on the Tuojiang River, numerous ancient buildings and rich Miao customs constitute a unique Xiangxi flavor.

The ancient city is surrounded by mountains and waters, the Tuojiang River passes through the city, the red sandstone wall stands on the shore, and the South Huashan Mountain is spread all over the towers of the Qing Dynasty. On the river under the north gate, there is a narrow wooden bridge with stone piers on it, which used to be the only way out of the city. The main attractions included in the ancient city package are: Shen Congwen's former residence, Xiong Xiling's former residence, Yangjia Ancestral Hall, Dongmen Tower, Ancient City Museum, Chongde Hall, boating on the Tuojiang River (about 20 minutes downstream), Wanshou Palace, Hongqiao Art Building, South China Mountain Shenfeng Scenic Area, etc.

Tuojiang River is the largest river in Fenghuang County, and for tourists, Tuojiang River is a river near the wall of Fenghuang Ancient City. The most common way to visit the Tuojiang River is "boating on the Tuojiang River" (the fee has been included in the pass of Fenghuang Ancient City). Boarding from the dock near the north gate, you can go down the river until you reach Hongqiao outside the east gate. The whole journey takes about 20 minutes. On the way, you can also hear the boatman's horn and folk songs.

The Tuojiang River is green and clear, and the Tujia Diaojiao Building with a history of 100 years on both sides of the river is unique in charm. The south bank of Tuojiang River is an ancient city wall made of purple sand stone. There are two towers in the east and north of the city wall, which are still spectacular after vicissitudes. There are many scenic spots near the east gate of Tuojiang River, such as Wanshou Pagoda, Wanming Pagoda and Duocui Pagoda, and Tiaoyan near the north gate of Tuojiang River is one of the main passages in and out of the northeast of Fenghuang Ancient City, which is the best scenic spot to photograph the beautiful scenery of Tuojiang River. Here, the diaojiao building on both sides of the river, the Hongqiao opposite, and the passing ships can all be included in the lens.
