Suzhou self-guided tour guide for 3-4 days, thank you
I have been in Suzhou for almost 2 years. I wrote this based on my own playing experience. I hope it can give you some help
Let’s talk about it first
Suzhou is The prices of nearby accommodation hotels vary from high to low, depending on how many of you there are. If you are traveling, you don’t need to stay in a good hotel. It’s mainly for fun, as long as the accommodation is OK
I recommend a few accommodations. Ah, 99 chain, budget hotels like Pudding (slightly better Hanting, Home Inn, etc.) are actually similar. 99 chain costs 100 yuan a day, double bed, everything is ready, air conditioning, hot water. It's just a little small, but okay. The price of Hanting is more than 150-200, and the environment is not bad. According to your own choice.
My personal experience is that if you have made a reservation to go out for fun, you should first go online to find the website and phone number of the hotel in Suzhou, select and book it first. This will be more convenient, and you can check in directly when you arrive (just book the day before check-in) Yes, I have stayed at several of the places I recommend and found them relatively comfortable. I don’t know about other places such as Super 8, but they should be OK. There is a 99 on Baita East Road and a Pudding on Linton Road. They are both. It is in a relatively prosperous area, with convenient transportation and good places to eat and play around.)
Let’s talk about food
The food here in Suzhou is mainly sweet. The cuisine just tastes here. I don’t know if you are used to eating it, but I thought it was okay when I came to Suzhou to eat. There is nothing special about the snacks. They are mainly pastries. You will know this when you go shopping on Guanqian Street, such as So-and-so Zhai. You will know when you go in and take a look around. These are the main ones and these are the specialties. .
If you are interested, you can eat Suzhou noodles. It tastes good. It is still the same and a bit sweet. However, the authentic soup noodles are made from bones that have been simmered for a long time. It is difficult to taste them now. Just go to a noodle shop and try it (there is a Huang Tianyuan restaurant in front of the temple. I specifically mention this place, so I recommend you not to eat there. Haha, it’s ridiculously expensive. A bowl of noodles is twice the price of other noodle restaurants. I tried it once and it didn’t feel like anything. Difference, personal opinion, you don’t have to go) Next is the highlight, Subang cuisine, if you want to eat Subang cuisine, I recommend a place, there are many places recommended on the Internet, Wumen Family, the specific address is Panru Lane, Pingjiang Road, You can search the map for the specific location. The taste is really good, and the environment is also in a more classical style, which can be regarded as the ancient charm of Suzhou. Did you order something like squirrel and mandarin fish? Ask the waiter when you eat. The specialties are usually more special here in Suzhou. The key point is that they are a bit sweet (not Nongfu Spring’s sweetness) and are available in other cities. I don’t recommend it, there are many such as barbecue, fast food, Kaifeng cuisine (hehe) and the like. For high-end places to eat, go to Li Gongdi. I haven't eaten there before. It's very expensive. We are still working class.
Lastly let’s talk about tourist attractions, first let’s talk about shopping
The urban area of ??Suzhou City is mainly divided into the ancient city area (the part within the moat, which is divided into three parts: Pingjiang District and Canglang District) and Jinchan District), the Park (to the east, developed in cooperation with Singapore), the New District (to the west) Xiangcheng District (to the north) and Wuzhong District (inevitable), in addition to the urban area, it also includes several towns.
If you are shopping online, you will see it when you go online. Guanqian Street seems to be more impressive, but in fact, it is just like that, haha, it kind of dampens the enthusiasm for shopping. Guanqian Street is generally okay. The main thing is not to have too high expectations. After all, every city is developing very well now. This is how commercial shopping develops. Guanqian Street is a large business district that integrates eating, drinking and entertainment. The consumption level ranges from luxury to mass, depending on the economic situation. You can take a good stroll while shopping. Then, it is not recommended to visit Shilu Commercial Street in Jinchang District alone. I mentioned below that you can consider stopping by when traveling. Canglang District has Taihua, a high-end consumer area, and the Yuanrong Times Square in the park is also surrounded by high-end consumer areas, and then there is Wanda Plaza in Xiangcheng District. This consumer area is mid-range. You can go shopping or not, there are a lot of things. If you’re not familiar with the new area, you’ll have to skip it.
Here comes the point, isn’t there a lot of nonsense, haha
Let’s follow the rough itinerary I gave you
If you come in the afternoon on the first day, you can check in Hotel, go shopping in Guanqian Street at night. If you are in high spirits, I recommend Pingjiang Road (must go). How can I check the map for this? Pingjiang Road is a historical and cultural ancient street. It feels better to go at night than during the day. After shopping, rest Just rest
When you come to Suzhou the next day, you must see the gardens. The private gardens in Suzhou are full of feelings. The first stop is the Humble Administrator's Garden. The ticket is now 70, it seems like a student The pass costs 50. If you go there and ask specifically, it’s still worth the price. You must follow a tour guide when visiting the garden. There are free tour guides in the garden. The time is organized and there is a timetable for entering the garden. If you don't want to wait, just follow a tour guide group. Suzhou gardens are private gardens, not big, but very delicate, with a good sense of elegance. The visit lasts about a morning. Don't rush out. Walk around slowly and listen carefully to the explanation. You will feel like you are the owner of the garden. Haha, it's so beautiful. You can bring your own food inside.
After coming out of the Humble Administrator’s Garden, you can go to the Suzhou Museum, which is on the same street and next door. Enjoy the cool weather and see the history and Prince Zhong’s Mansion of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. Note that the museum is closed on Mondays.
You have finished your shopping in the morning. If you are tired, you can go to the Wumen Family House mentioned earlier for a meal. It is very close, only a 10-minute walk away. You can ask people, or you can go for noodles, or Eat whatever you want.
The next point is Shantang Street. It is on the stone road in Jinchang District. You can take buses. Please buy a map of Suzhou for specific routes. Shantang Street is a historical street with a lot of history. It is a place with a Jiangnan atmosphere. There are many couples, and newlyweds take wedding photos here. There are small bridges and flowing water. There are many small things to buy, such as silk. For food, I recommend Ada Shengjian. You can try it. It tastes good. After visiting Shantang Street, let’s take a look at Shilu Commercial Street, haha. There are only so many itineraries for the afternoon. Don’t arrange your travel too tightly, as it will make you tired.
The third day’s destination is Huqiu, which is very famous. Another thing is that the wedding dress shop here in Huqiu is very large, with many beautiful ones and very cheap. Of course we didn’t go to see a bridal shop, we went to visit Huqiu. You'll have to work hard to find the route yourself. There are buses that go directly there, which is quite convenient, but taking a taxi is a bit expensive. It's estimated to cost 30 yuan from Guanqian to Huqiu. The entrance fee to Tiger Hill is 60, and the visit will take at least one morning. You can prepare your own food.
After shopping in the morning, I went to the Lingering Garden in the afternoon. The entrance fee is 40. The style is also a private garden in the south of the Yangtze River. If it feels similar to the Humble Administrator's Garden, you can skip it and find a day to stroll around Guanqian Street. Go shopping, visit some popular places.
Go back in advance and take a short rest, or go directly to Xinshiqiao and take a night cruise around Suzhou in the evening, going around the moat, which costs about 80 yuan per person. You must go to this place. After visiting it, you should have a feeling. Just arrive before 6pm. You can walk around the surrounding area. There is a Wannian Bridge that you can walk around, a stone bridge. After playing, it’s time to go back and rest.
On the fourth day, we went to visit the ancient town of Zhouzhuang. If we wanted to go there by car, we could go there by ourselves, or we could sign up for a tour group. Just find a regular tour group, such as a youth hostel. If you go by yourself, it is more comfortable. You can take a bus to the North or South Bus Station, which runs every half an hour. It is recommended to take the bus to the South Bus Station, which is cheaper and also passes through Tongli Ancient Town. When you get there, you can walk there in about 15 minutes. If you don't want to take a taxi or a motorcycle, you can buy a ticket for 5 to 10 yuan and go in for a visit. It's a relatively intact Jiangnan water town with good attractions. There are all kinds of food, drinks and entertainment. Buy according to your personal preference and pay attention to bargaining. If you have a good talk, you can bargain more. You will buy more and save money. If you want to go back to Suzhou from Zhouzhuang, the last flight is around 5pm. People on the Internet said that you have to stay in Zhouzhuang for another day. I went back on the same day. It is said that staying one night will help me appreciate the charm of Zhouzhuang better. You can try it.
If you want to see the modern urban feel of Suzhou, you can go to the Jinji Lake in the park along the modern avenue. It will give people a feeling that the scenery changes before their eyes, from classical to modern. Jinji Lake The scenery around the lake is also good, especially the bridge on Modern Avenue, which has a beautiful night view, and the musical fountain and square next to Ligong Causeway, which has a good night view. It is best to go on weekends.
That’s about it, that’s all I can think of. I hope I can help you. I’ve worked hard on this and I hope you can support me. Thank you.
Finally, I would like to share some of my own opinions.
2. The key to travel depends on your arrangements. You can buy a map and plan the travel route in advance every night. This will make the play more comfortable
3. The weather has been hot recently, so bring enough water to avoid heatstroke
4. There are a lot of tourists here, and the phenomenon of soliciting tourists is serious. Be careful not to be fooled, which will affect your travel mood
5. Relax when traveling, don’t make too many arrangements and be tiring, and pay attention to money and valuables
I wish you a happy trip to Suzhou, haha
