Where is the former residence of General Shen Li?

The former residence of General Shen Li is a cultural relic protection unit in Fuzhou.

The former residence of General Shen Li is located in the middle of Huangli Village, the first stop town in Changle District. Li Shen, in the seventh year of Yongle (1409), went to the western seas with Zheng He, made meritorious service, awarded a captain of Zhongwu, and was transferred to the guerrilla general Dingyuan and general logistics officer Zhong Jun. The back seat of the former residence was built by Li of Huangli Village and the founder of Huanger Village at the end of Yuan Dynasty. The front seat and the middle seat were built by Shen Li in the 21st year of Yongle (1423). The civil structure of the former residence, east-west, covers an area of 684 square meters. On June 2, 2020, the former residence of General Shen Li was included in the eighth batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Fuzhou.

Protection scope: the building wall foundation extends eastward 13m, westward 12.8m, southward/8.7m and northward 10m. .
