Wuyi's Shuxiqiao Prose

"Where does the cock crow? The scenery is Qin Yu." This is a beautiful sentence written by Meng Haoran, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, who stayed in Wuyi at night. At the beginning of the new century, I went to Hushan Town, Wuyi for a tryst three times because I published a marriage advertisement in qianjiang evening news. I almost became the son-in-law of Wuyi. I approached Wuyi, lived in Wuyi for three weeks, and got to know the simple town of Wuyi.

in my memory, Wuyi is not big, but it is clean everywhere. In addition to soaking in hot springs, eating dog meat and beef offal, Wuyi impressed me the most is the 1-meter-wide cooked stream, which is not deep but very clear. And that antique covered bridge-Shuxi Bridge.

Wuyi county is located in the southwest of Jinhua city, in the deep mountains in the south of Zhejiang province, and all the way to the car, but you can see deep canyons, green mountains, green trees, bamboo shadows, flowing water and infinite scenery. Known as "the hometown of fluorite and the city of hot springs".

Wuyi is also the hometown of lake poets Pan Mohua, a pioneer of the New Culture Movement, a famous economist Qian Jiaju and a famous meticulous master Pan Jiezi. Famous Neo-Confucians in Song Dynasty, such as Zhu Xi and Lv Zuqian, once gave lectures at Mingzhao Temple in Wuyi, forming a unique "Mingzhao Culture".

in the second year of the Tang dynasty (ad 691), the western territory of Yongkang was originally located in Wuyi county and liwuzhou. Legend has it that when Wu Zetian was in power, all the newly established counties were crowned with the word "Wu". Because there is Baiyi Mountain in the east of the county, it was named Wuyi County. Later, it was renamed Wucheng County, and it was renamed Wuyi County in the first year of the Tang Dynasty (AD 95). Wuyi county was merged into Yongkang county in 1958. In 1961, Wuyi County was restored. It has a history of 13 years, which can be described as a long history and a long history.

The county seat of Wuyi is located in Hushan Town, with Hushan in the north and Shuxi in the south. It is surrounded by mountains and waters, with beautiful mountains and clear waters. Wuyi originally had a small urban area, almost as big as our old baiguan. Since the jiefang bridge was built on Shuxi in 1978, it has crossed the historical boundary river of Shuxi. Shuxi has thus become a natural landscape belt that runs through Wuyi County from southwest to northeast, just like the eighteen-mile landscape corridor of Cao 'e River in Shangyu.

Today, there are seven bridges across the Wuyi mother river, and the most striking one is the Shuxi Bridge in the middle, which is known as "a must in the south of the Yangtze River".

"I saw people passing under the bridge from a distance, but I suspected that the boat was swimming in the mirror." Shuxi Bridge is located in the center of Wuyi, crossing Shuxi and connecting Jinan North. jiefang bridge is not far from the west of the bridge, and Hushan Bridge is located in the east of the bridge. In the past, it was the transportation hub of Wuyi and Yongkang counties, Jinhua and Chuzhou.

along the bluestone steps, we walked onto the Guxi Bridge. At the bridge head, there stood two mighty and simple stone lions. The wall and roof of the ancient bridge head were similar to those of the Horsehead Wall, but there were more upturned cornices. Walking on the ancient bridge, the wooden railings on both sides of the bridge have unique Jiangnan characteristics, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Wuyi town from afar.

Shuxi Bridge is a roof-type wooden covered bridge with ten piers and nine holes, with dry-laid stone piers, six layers of hardwood piles piled on the piers, and the length of each layer is 1. 7 ~ 2, 25 meters into a double cantilever, which is supported by log longitudinal beams with a clear span of 1. ~ 12 meters, 14 meters long and 4 meters wide. 8 meters, 49 bridge houses are built in the bridge corridor, and pavilions are built in the bridge. The pavilions are towering and the double eaves are upturned, which is very spectacular.

It's rare that a corridor and a column all have couplets or plaques, which adds a humanistic flavor. Among them are Sha Menghai's and other famous calligraphies, each with its own style, which is worth seeing.

Shuxi Bridge is a wonderful work in ancient Chinese bridge architecture. It was built in the third year of the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 127), which has been more than 8 years since this year.

According to the Records of Jiaqing County in Wuyi, during the Southern Song Dynasty, there was a dock next to the Shuxi Bridge in Wuyi County. Later, with the increase of local population, boats alone could not meet the travel needs of local people. Shi Zongyu, the master book of Wuyi County, donated money to save the people from wading across the river and raised funds to build an open-air wooden bridge with ten piers and nine holes.

From then on, the north-south natural barrier became a thoroughfare, which made a brilliant stroke in the history of Wuyi.

The villagers felt their kindness, so they called it "Shigong Bridge". Up to now, there is a plaque hanging high in the center of the bridge, "The Origin of Shigong".

The bridge collapsed due to disrepair. It was not until the fourth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1576) that the roof was built on the bridge, and 49 bridge houses were added, making it a wind and rain covered bridge.

Shuxi Bridge was built many times, and it was rebuilt in the 49th year of Qingganlong (1784). Later, it was overhauled for more than 1 times, and it has become a familiar bridge like this.

benches are set at intervals on both sides of Shuxi Bridge for tourists to rest. A bench divides the covered bridge into three roads, with pedestrians on both sides and horses in the middle in ancient times.

In modern times, Guxi Bridge also bears the shame of a nation. In May, 1942, the Japanese army invaded Wuyi, overthrowing all the bridge houses above the pier of Shuxi Bridge, paving the rails above the bridge, and setting up a railway directly to the fluorite mining area on the outskirts of Wuyi. In the north of the bridge, the Japanese army also built a fluorite mine processing plant. Almost every day, the stolen Mangshi train passes through the Guxi Bridge, which stimulates the hearts of local people.

in 1945, when the Japanese army surrendered and left Wuyi, the first important thing the local people did was to repair the Guxi Bridge and restore it as it was when it was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. There are three pavilions with double eaves and resting on the top of the mountain, and vertical treads are set at both ends.

at 1: 17 p.m. on June 23, 2, due to continuous heavy rain and rapid water flow, some piers of Shuxi Bridge were collapsed due to severe flood. The people of the county donated money and materials to repair it. It took eight months to repair it in May 21, and the ancient bridge reappeared.

Today, the traffic function of this bridge is completely weakened, and it only carries the leisure life of Wuyi people. The bridge has become a leisure place for local people.

Chen Zhihua, a famous bridge expert in Tsinghua University, and other experts have investigated more than 3 existing ancient covered bridges in China, and concluded that Guxi Bridge is the "ancestor of covered bridges" in China.

The two world-famous covered bridges, Wuyi Shuxi Bridge and Yongkang Xijin Bridge, can be called "sister bridges" and are known as "four famous historical bridges in the world" ...
