Since then, the Liberation Monument has become a place for celebrations of grand gatherings and major festivals in Chongqing, and has become a well-deserved monumental building in Chongqing.

The Liberation Monument is one of the landmark buildings in Chongqing. It is located in the center of the commercial district of Yuzhong District, Chongqing, at the intersection of Nationality, Minquan and Zou Rong Road. It was once named the Spiritual Fortress (1940) and the Anti-Japanese War Victory Monument (1945).
