Qingshuitan Scenic Area has been listed as an excellent national tourism project by the National Tourism Administration (the only selected project in Yangzhou), and Yucheng Station and Wenyoutai have become designated tourist attractions in the Yangtze River Delta. Gaoyou lake, Xinmin Beach and other eco-tourism resources will be utilized to build a scenic belt on the west bank of the Canal, and a 5A-level Gaoyou Canal historical and cultural scenic spot (a comprehensive historical and cultural scenic spot with canal culture as the core theme and integrating postal culture, water culture and religious culture) will be planned. According to the requirements of provincial water conservancy scenic spots, the scenic belt of the west levee of Gaoyou Canal will be further built in an all-round way. Gaoyou tourism includes World Heritage Site 1, 4A-level scenic spot 1, 3A-level scenic spot 2, 2A-level scenic spot 1. There are 6 national key cultural relics protection units and 7 cultural relics protection units in Jiangsu Province. Gaoyou section of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, a world heritage of Grade-1 scenic spot (hotel), was successfully selected into the World Heritage List, becoming the 46th World Heritage List in China.
