What is a motel?

Motel, the original text comes from English Motel, which is the abbreviation of motor hotel. Motels are a combination of cars and hotels, that is, motels. It used to refer to a hotel without a room, where people can park and sleep in the car, but it is more secure than parking outside.

Motels are mostly located near the intersection of highways, or the roads are far away from towns, which is convenient for passengers who use cars or motorcycles as their travel tools.

In Chinese mainland, hundreds of motel chains all over the country are actually business hotel chains, although they are called "motels". In Japan and Taiwan Province Province, motels are sometimes synonymous with "lovers' hotels".

In Taiwan Province Province, there are many motels along many expressways and near newly developed towns or scenic spots. Due to fierce competition, motel management has turned to leisure mode, and the decoration design has reached or even exceeded the level of high-end hotels. There are also theme room designs (such as Hawaiian style and sci-fi style). The guests who apply for housing are no longer limited to tourists, but also expand to the leisure and entertainment needs of the general public.
