Introduction of Hengyang Zoo

Hengyang Zoo is located in Yanfeng District, Hengyang City, a central and southern town in China. Founded in 1956 and expanded in 1980. It is the only zoo in southern Hunan, the second largest in the province, covering an area of 154 mu, with mountains and water, a beautiful environment and a greening rate of 68%. The existing animal cage covers an area of more than 6,000 square meters and is divided into seven areas: animal house, monkey mountain, bird house, herbivore house, crawler house, fur house and hippo house. There are 58 species of animals with more than 400 heads (feathers). There are more than 20 kinds of national key protected animals such as giant panda, Siberian tiger, leopard, sika deer, jaguar, python, jaguar, Bengal monitor lizard and Australian kangaroo. The second class of protected animals are: African lions, black bears, brown bears, macaques, camels and more than 50 kinds. Walking among them, birds chirp and gloat, which is quite natural.
